王后卢前的成语故事

基本解释《旧唐书·文苑传上·杨炯》：“炯与王勃、卢照邻、骆宾王以文词齐名，海内称为王、杨、卢、骆，亦号为‘四杰’。烱闻之，谓人曰：‘吾愧在卢前，耻居王后。’当时议者，亦以为然。”后以“王后卢前”指诗文齐名。

王后卢前的典故

唐朝初期，诗歌散文十分活跃，其中代表人物有初唐四杰即：王勃、杨炯、卢照邻及骆宾王，他们的文词在海内外都有名气。当时有人试着给他们排名，杨炯听到后说：“吾愧在卢前，耻居王后。” 人们认为这样的排名比较合理。
