春秋时期，各诸侯国不断打仗，晋国联合鲁国进攻郑国，郑国见他们来势凶猛，只好派代表公子马非到戏地与晋国大将荀偃歃血为盟，签订合约。不久，楚国派兵来进攻郑国，晋国坐视不救，公子马非认为晋国口血未干而不救就与楚结盟。
