方寸之地的典故

徐庶是三国时刘备的军师。他多谋善断，料事如神，深得刘备的信赖。

一次，徐庶识破“八门金锁阵”，大败曹操官兵。曹操将领曹仁不服输，深夜起兵去新野劫寨。徐庶早有所料，待曹仁离开樊城时就乘虚而入。结果，樊城失守。曹仁败退许昌，愧对曹操。曹操说：“刘备必有能人为他策划！”曹操探得是徐庶，便想把他骗到许昌留在身边。他们摹仿徐庶母亲的笔迹写信给徐庶。徐庶见信得知老母押在许昌，只好挥泪告别刘备。徐庶说：“今已失老母，方寸乱矣，无益于事，请从此别！”
