战国时期，魏国西河太守吴起与魏武侯魏击谈论怎样才能做到战无不胜，吴起就用兵经验发表看法，君主要倚仗：将军在战场发号施令军士愿意听从，将军兴师动众作战，士卒愿意出征，到了战场，士兵不怕死，要奖罚分明。
