额手称庆的典故

宋朝时期，司马光因著《资治通鉴》而名垂青史。他成为翰林学士，与王安石是好朋友，但不支持王安石变法，只好辞职去洛阳著书。宋哲宗即位后，司马光回京任尚书左仆射，人们额手称庆。司马光上任后马上废除新法，把王安石给气死了。
