南北朝陈朝著名的书法家智永禅师，坚持练字30多年，写坏的笔可以装十瓮，埋入地下称“退笔冢”，共练过80万字，他住在浙江吴兴县的永欣寺，找他题字的人很多，把他屋子的门槛都踩破了，不得不包上一层铁皮。
