春秋末年齐国宰相晏婴奉命出使楚国，楚王百般刁难他，先是让他从小门进城，然后说他是矮子，用最差的饭菜招待他，最后用两个齐国囚犯来羞辱他，均被他的不卑不亢的态度及高超的外交才能所折服，结果楚王自取其辱。
