男，1925年三四月出生，陕西子长人。中共党员。1947年发仟游车队指导员时因战功卓著曾被授予陕甘宁边区政府新民主主义奖章和通令嘉奖（ 新华社曾在全国范围内予以报道） 。1948年开始在陕甘宁边区之《群众日报》 、《西北文艺》 上多次发表自由体诗和报告文学，并和著名盲艺人韩起祥合作写了《宜川大胜利》 等陕北曲艺。解放后正式出版了《宜川大胜利》 一书。1948年，即参加西北文联（ 以后改为陕西作协） 活动，并为会员至今。“文革”后开始写传统诗词曾发表于《延河》 、《飞天》 、《中华诗词》 等刊物，著有《三秦杂则、《华岳远眺》 、《闲云集》等书。
