李致远，生平事迹不详。何梦华抄本《太平乐府》注云“江右（今江西）”至元中，客居溧阳（今属江苏）。存小令26首，套数4篇及杂剧《还牢未》。仇远相交甚密。据仇远写给李致远的《和李志远君深秀才》诗中说他“有才未遇政绩损”“亦固穷忘怨尤”“一瓢陋巷誓不出，孤云野鹤心自由”，可以看出他仕途不顺，一生郁郁不得志，但性格孤傲清高。《太和正音谱》列其为曲坛名家，评其曲曰：“如玉匣昆吾。”
