王应华，字崇闇，号园长。东莞人。明思宗崇祯元年（一六二八）进士，仕至礼部侍郎。十七年（一六四四）归粤，辅永历帝，拜东阁大学士。帝入桂后，与函是同礼道独，法名函诸。清道光《广东通志》卷三二六有传。
