蔡向，字瞻明，一字子平（《曲阿诗综》卷七），东平（今属山东）人。高宗建炎二年（一一二八）官通直郎（《建炎以来系年要录》卷一七）。绍兴三年（一一三三）提举两浙东路茶盐公事（《宋会要辑稿》职官四八之七○）。二十四年知滁州（《建炎以来系年要录》卷一六六）。晚寓天台，自号净空居士。有《浍水集》，已佚。事见《嘉定赤城志》卷三四。今录诗七首。
