古华严寺有名钟，作自赵宋祥符中。勒四言铭闻人建，铸者为谁曰胡公。
胡公仕宋侍郎职，尝苦金严年不丰。请宽苛政蠲丁税，诏书特下快民风。
自是乡贤惠桑梓，一乡庙食祀有功。乃今人未明其故，漫加帝号齐尊崇。
香火年年连吴越，不独编氓祝婺东。我来吴宁寻遗迹，有法轮碑峙岘峰。
先民已叹沈沦久，长对空山夕照红。寺居城闉往来数，欲访钟铭追前踪。
几经烽火变迁后，铁石销磨金在镕。此铜钟且无其器，遑云斑剥蚀苔封。
我闻汤盘与孔鼎，词存千古走蛟龙。层楼猛簴今寂寞，黄钟大吕闻太空。
何必金刹考古制，欲与凫氏论旋虫。高子幸非辩追蠡，蓄酒如池香味浓。
招我一笑莫停饮，绣佛场前列千钟。我侪善学端有在，如木钟撞金木攻。
大小鸣由大小扣，发人清省备藐躬。
