清江苏元和人，字幼耕，一作幼庚，又字子远，号道穆，别号曼罗山人，晚号潜叟。拔贡生，官光禄寺署正。工诗文，善书画。咸丰末，何绍基邀之入蜀，助校试卷。同、光间历为疆吏幕客。卒年九十余。著述甚富。有《罗曼山人诗文集》、《乐静廉馀斋诗文稿》、《梅影盦词集》。
