南朝梁代文学家。名潜，以字行。刘孝绰弟。刘孝仪(484～550)初为始兴王萧法曹行参军，随同出镇益州，兼记室。后又随晋安王萧纲出镇襄阳。曾出使北魏。累迁尚书左丞，兼御史中丞。历任临海太守、豫章内史。后来侯景叛乱，州郡失陷。大宝元年(550)病逝。
