吴迈远（?-474）南朝宋诗人。曾被宋明帝刘召见，但未获赏识。宋末，桂阳王刘休范背叛朝廷。他曾为休范起草檄文，宋元徽二年。坐桂阳之乱诛死。代表作品有《长相思》、《长别离》等。所做乐府诗作男女赠答之辞，往往辞巧意新，宛转华丽。诗风质朴。吴迈远是南朝宋诗人，属于元嘉体到永明体过渡时期的作家。刘宋一代，虽然未能形成像后来齐、梁时代那样大规模的以皇室成员为中心的文学集团，但向后者过渡的痕迹已较为明显。宋武帝刘裕就经常诏命并亲自主持文士宴集赋诗，《宋书》及《南史》多有记载。
