三月三日天清明，杨花绕江啼晓莺。使君未出郡斋内，
江上已闻齐和声。使君出时皆有引，马前已被红旗阵。
两岸罗衣破鼻香，银钗照日如霜刃。鼓声三下红旗开，
两龙跃出浮水来。擢影干波飞万剑，鼓声劈浪鸣千雷。
雷声冲急波相近，两龙望标目如瞬。江上人呼霹雳声，
竿头彩挂虹霓晕。前船抢水已得标，后船失势空挥桡。
疮眉血首争不定，输岸一朋心似烧。只将标示输赢赏，
两岸十舟五来往。须臾戏罢各东西，竟脱文身请书上。
吾今细观竞渡儿，何殊当路权相持。不思得所各休去，
会到摧舟折楫时。

薛逢，字陶臣，蒲洲河东（今山西永济县）人，会昌元年（公元八四一）进士。历侍御史、尚书郎。因恃才傲物，议论激切，屡忤权贵，故仕途颇不得意。《全唐诗》收录其诗一卷。《旧唐书》卷一九零，《新唐书》卷二零三皆有传。
