我昔乘兴游都城，列子示我新素屏。始知无择得此道，长沙道人今复生。
归来穷巷掩柴荆，惠然相访得忘形。赠我数行岂无意，势如九河注沧溟。
中间龙蜃降没升，欢伏不暇独可惊。
自欲何能谢言情，欲赠金玉还愧轻。慇勤之揖喜不胜，使我驱雾老眼明。

沈辽(1032—1085)，字睿达，宋钱塘(今余杭)人。沈遘的弟弟，《梦溪笔谈》作者沈括的同族兄弟。自幼嗜读《左传》、《汉书》，曾巩、苏轼、黄庭坚常与之唱和，王安石、曾布皆习其笔法。本无意于功名，王安石曾有“风流谢安石，潇洒陶渊明”之称。后由三司使吴充举荐，负责监内藏库。
