谢一夔，古源（今乔乐乡前泽花园）人，生于明仁宗洪熙元年（公元1425年），卒于明宪宗成化二十三年（公元1488年）。天顺四年进士，明英宗钦点状元，曾出任翰林学士、礼部右侍郎、工部尚书等职。其一生著述颇丰，修《英宗实录》、《宋元通鉴纲目》、《续资治通鉴纲目》等史书，并着有《谢文庄公集》、《力余福》等，还曾为明宪宗、孝宗父子的老师，是明代中叶一位颇具声名的大臣、学者。
