王廷相（1474-1544），字子衡，号浚川，世称浚川先生，河南仪封（今兰考）人，祖籍潞州。明代著名文学家、思想家、哲学家。王廷相幼年聪慧奇敏，好为文赋诗，且留心经史。《明史》称他“博学强记，精通经术、星历、舆图、乐律，河图洛书，周邵程张之书，皆有论驳” 。明孝宗时，与李梦阳、何景明等人，提倡古文，反对台阁体，时称“七子”（“前七子”）。 官至南京兵部尚书、都察院左都御史。谥“肃敏”。
