潭州楚南郡，犷黠俗易敝。伊昔炎宋时，控禦恒置帅。
惟我神圣朝，绥靖亦数世。可惜财赋区，章组杂冗赘。
去年五百峒，椎牛立赤帜。居氓弃业走，行旅昼心悸。
予时移镇来，集议询根蒂。山川聚米观，列阵掎角势。
团夫县点壮，甲长家举义。号令风电驱，狼兕各歼殪。
似闻益阳箐，倡乱渠首二。敢叛假息恩，遂揭怒车臂。
岂缘侵歉馀，我有赈恤惠。岂缘科率烦，厥咎乃长吏。
鸷猛安足雄，明法匪虚器。湘乡覆辙多，何不为戒事。
吾皇文武资，衰予备驱使。安良在除暴，予也报恩地。
慎尔血气躯，毋使城市弃。

明广东南海人，字子和。弘治九年进士。授南京户部主事，监江北诸仓，清查积年侵羡，得粟十余万石。历户部员外郎、湖州知府、晋广西参政，督粮严法绳奸，境内肃然。后抚云南，镇湖广皆有政绩。官至兵部右侍郎。致仕卒，年八十。有《海语》、《矩洲集》等。
