李逢吉，字虚舟，系出陇西。父颜，有锢疾，逢吉自料医剂，遂通方书。举明经，又擢进士第。范希朝表为振武掌书记，荐之德宗，拜左拾遗。元和时，迁给事中、皇太子侍读。改中书舍人，知礼部贡举。未已事，拜门下侍郎、同中书门下平章事。诏礼部尚书王播署榜。李逢吉才思俊丽,能文工诗曾与令狐楚同编者名《断金集》，今存八首。
