廖行之（1137～1189） ，字天民，号省斋，南宋衡州（今湖南省衡阳市）人。孝宗淳熙十一年（1184）进士，调岳州巴陵尉。未数月，以母老归养。告满，改授潭州宁乡主簿，未赴而卒，时淳熙十六年。品行端正，留心经济之学。遗著由其子谦编为《省斋文集》十卷，已佚。
