译文
元宵看来还是寻欢游乐好，何况诉讼少，公事清闲，万家百姓登上春日观赏景物之台。城市十里之内成了繁华美丽的海上仙岛，使神仙也为之迷惑。
平原君敬待宾客，不像高阳酒徒无礼傲慢，坐在客人一起，宽和从容地陪伴客人谈笑。 客人中有个最富于感情，为了珍惜主人待客的殷勤拚着醉倒在地而尽兴喝酒。
注释
木兰花令：原唐教坊曲名，后用为词牌名。
公庭民讼：指百姓到官府告状。
春台：代指游览胜地。
平原：这里代指好客的主人。高阳：秦汉之际的郦食其，陈留高阳乡人。其人好读书，家贫落魄，县中呼为狂生。
促席：座席靠近。雍容：形容主人待客有礼，态度和蔼。
玉山拚（pàn）醉倒：形容客人的醉态。拚：就是豁出去，毫不顾惜自己的意思。

木兰花令·元宵似是欢游好创作背景
此词创作的具体时间不详，宋哲宗元祐六年（1091年）和元祐九年（1094年）的编年存在争议。但知这首词是作于元月十五日元宵节当地长官的举办酒席上的，而词人当时是一位客人。

木兰花令·元宵似是欢游好鉴赏
上片极写元宵节的游赏欢乐，及公庭讼少的愉悦心情。“元宵似是欢游好，何况公庭民讼少”。“似是”，正说明词人原本并没有主动出游元宵佳节的打算，只是由于他的公务闲暇，“公庭民讼少”了，内心愉悦才使他引起了赏游元宵夜景的乐趣。如今“公庭民讼少”，词人从心底发出惬意的快感，所以，当他看到“万家游赏上春台”时，他自己和所有游人，都像活神仙一样迷路在三神山海岛之中了。
下片极写“与民同乐”的欢快宴席。“平原不似高阳傲。促席雍容陪语笑。”词人在人群中间，谦逊质朴，礼敬宾客，平等如兄弟，有如赵国平原君的贤明待宾，而毫无“高阳酒徒”的傲慢。他总是从容温和地靠近群众，和人们满面陪笑的对语谈心，尽情享受着与人民打成一片的乐趣。“坐中有客最多情，不惜玉山拼醉倒”，在欢快的宴席中，顿时出现了一个“最多情”的民客形象，而把欢情霎时推到高潮。可谓笔端生花。而“拚”字尤为传神。这正是词人与群众亲密“鱼水情”关系的典型反映。

苏轼（1037－1101），北宋文学家、书画家、美食家。字子瞻，号东坡居士。汉族，四川人，葬于颍昌（今河南省平顶山市郏县）。一生仕途坎坷，学识渊博，天资极高，诗文书画皆精。其文汪洋恣肆，明白畅达，与欧阳修并称欧苏，为“唐宋八大家”之一；诗清新豪健，善用夸张、比喻，艺术表现独具风格，与黄庭坚并称苏黄；词开豪放一派，对后世有巨大影响，与辛弃疾并称苏辛；书法擅长行书、楷书，能自创新意，用笔丰腴跌宕，有天真烂漫之趣，与黄庭坚、米芾、蔡襄并称宋四家；画学文同，论画主张神似，提倡“士人画”。著有《苏东坡全集》和《东坡乐府》等。
