半夜里学鸳鸯共眠同床，红色的锦被不住地摇荡。一场好事临到收场，却出了洋相，她一翻身翻到了对方身上。她身材这么高大，体躯这么粗壮，几乎压扁了瘦弱的情郎。

偌：如此。
沈东阳：南朝齐梁间诗人沈约，曾官东阳太守，人称沈东阳。沈约有《与徐勉书》：“百日数旬，革带常应移孔。”谓因多病而腰围瘦损。这里即以“沈东阳”借称瘦腰男子。
小桃红·胖妓鉴赏
这首小令的题材和趣味登不上大雅之堂，但它袒示了早期散曲的“俚曲”的胎记，其所表现出的风趣活泼，也是一目了然的。作者于煞有介事的交代背景后，安排了床上翻身、“压扁沈东阳”的可笑情节，可谓出奇制胜。“交颈效鸳鸯”、“锦被翻红浪”、“雨歇云收”等都是说唱文学中用得烂熟的文字，所谓“强作斯文语”，只要举一则明人模仿元人语言风格所作的《小桃红·西厢百咏》为例，就不难体会到这一点：“高烧银烛照红妆，低簇芙蓉帐。倒凤颠鸾那狂荡，喜洋洋，春生翠被翻红浪。”（《雨云欢会》）而“偌长偌大，偌粗偌胖”，那就更是百分之百的通俗口语。这一切诚如徐渭在《南词叙录》中所说，“常言俗语，扭作曲子，点铁成金，信是妙手”。喜剧情节和俚语俗言，可说是元代谐谑性散曲的两大要素。
中国戏剧源于俳优表演，因而带着特有的娱乐性。到了元代的杂剧，仍保留着净、丑的角色，插科打诨也成为元杂剧风味的一个必不可少的组成部分。这种欣赏习惯，对元散曲应当说有直接的影响，致使谑乐也成为散曲的一项审美内容。散曲与杂剧互相间的交互、影响，注意的人不多，却是客观存在的。

王和卿， 元代散曲家。大名(今属河北省)人，生卒年字号不详。《录鬼簿》列为"前辈名公"，但各本称呼不同，天一阁本称为"王和卿学士"，孟称舜本却称他为"散人"。他与关汉卿是同时代人,而又比关汉卿早卒。明·朱权《太和正音谱》将其列于“词林英杰”一百五十人之中。现存散曲小令21首，套曲1首,见于《太平乐府》、《阳春白雪》、《词林摘艳》等集中。
