译文
你像仙子一样流落世间十八年，你吹花嚼蕊，多才多艺，品性高洁，尤其擅长弹奏琵琶，寄托冰清玉洁的情怀。现在你把多情的心灵托付给了“我”。
在朦胧迷离的灯影里，你头上玉钗斜横，娇美的面庞上轻施淡妆，斜倚在枕函边上。“我”只能脉脉地欣赏着你的美丽，却无法用语言来表达。
注释
浣溪沙：唐代教坊曲名，后用为词牌。分平仄两体，字数以四十二字居多，还有四十四字和四十六字两种。这首词为四十二字。
十八年：结婚时候纳兰妻子卢氏刚好十八岁。在《仙吏传》（东方朔传）中记载，东方朔未死时候，曾对周舍郎说过：“天下没有一个人能够懂得我，真正懂我的人只有太王公一个人。”等到东方朔死后，汉武帝得知此语，马上召唤太王公询问：“你知道东方朔吗？”太王公回答说：“不知道。”汉武帝询问太王公才知，他很擅长星象观测。他告诉汉武帝：“天上诸星都在，单独只有岁星十八年不见，今时才复见。”听此，汉武帝仰天长叹：“东方朔在朕身边十八年，而朕竟不知他是岁星。”然后，汉武帝神色凄惨，郁郁不乐。
吹花嚼蕊：反复推敲声律、词藻。
冰弦：琴弦。据《太真外传》，拘弥国琵琶弦，为冰蚕丝所制。
“紫玉”句：紫玉钗，辞出蒋防《霍小玉传》。灯影背，汤显祖《紫钗记》：“烛花无赖，背银缸、暗擘瑶钗。”
红棉：周邦彦《蝶恋花》词：“泪花落枕红棉冷。”
枕函：古以木或瓷制枕，中空可藏物，因称枕函。

浣溪沙·十八年来堕世间创作背景
这首词是纳兰写给妻子卢氏的。应该是纳兰与卢氏新婚之时（康熙十三年（1674年））所作。他们结婚时，卢氏正好十八岁，与词中的“十八年来堕世间”之语正好相应。

浣溪沙·十八年来堕世间鉴赏
这首词主要描写的是一对夫妇的新婚画面。此词首句即告知主人公已十八岁，尘世行走多年。在这里纳兰运用东方朔的典故。此典故足可说明“十八年”弥足珍贵，也暗示主人公之将结束岁星式生活，“堕”人世间，但这是注定的，也只有叹惋吁惜可慰主人公。另外，主人公之素爱“吹花嚼蕊”，甚至“弄冰弦”，也只孤单一人，所以发出“多情情寄阿谁边”也属正常。
下片，写新婚之夜最是动人。头戴紫玉钗的玉人，愈发诱人。说起紫玉钗，又牵扯出一曲故事。据唐蒋叻《霍小玉传》知，此紫玉钗是昔日霍王小女欲戴之饰，值万钱，却不知何故丢失，令人费解，终被做此紫玉钗的老人识得。在这里，无论紫玉钗怎样丢失，又怎样复得，全无关紧要，关键之处是其“值万钱”，何其珍贵，如此珍贵之物配玉人，可见玉人有多尊贵，有多娇媚。最动人之处，在末句“相看好处却无言”，玉人及“我”皆情至深处，可见一斑。
纳兰性德这首词，用典较多，是一大特色，让人在不知不觉中对主人公有了更深一层的理解。词中词句工整，第五、六句即是例子。该词上片与下片，情感表达流畅，上片“多情情寄阿谁边”既出，下片即是新婚之夜，中间部分环节虽简略，却刺激读者发挥想象，回味无穷。
词人运用语句之突出，令人赞叹。首句“堕”字。表现心理状态，第二句中“弄”也如此。下片“冷”，生动地写出端坐之久。“多情情寄阿谁边”的发问在下片中得到了最好的回答。究竟“十八年”来“堕”世间，是福是祸，怕是很难说清，据“相看好处却无言”可知：怕是福更多。由此可看出，主人公的早熟，对人世间尘世作“堕”的看法，也由玉人的到来而竟“无言”，可谓尘世间事事事难料，更何况短暂人生。

纳兰性德（1655－1685），满洲人，字容若，号楞伽山人，清代最著名词人之一。其诗词“纳兰词”在清代以至整个中国词坛上都享有很高的声誉，在中国文学史上也占有光采夺目的一席。他生活于满汉融合时期，其贵族家庭兴衰具有关联于王朝国事的典型性。虽侍从帝王，却向往经历平淡。特殊的生活环境背景，加之个人的超逸才华，使其诗词创作呈现出独特的个性和鲜明的艺术风格。流传至今的《木兰花令·拟古决绝词》——“人生若只如初见，何事秋风悲画扇？等闲变却故人心，却道故人心易变。”富于意境，是其众多代表作之一。
