新烟初试花如梦，疑收楚峰残雨。茂苑人归，秦楼燕宿，同惜天涯为旅。游情最苦。早柔绿迷津，乱莎荒圃。数树梨花，晚风吹堕半汀鹭。
流红江上去远，翠尊曾共醉，云外别墅。澹月秋千，幽香巷陌，愁结伤春深处。听歌看舞。驻不得当时，柳蛮樱素。睡起恹恹，洞箫谁院宇。
齐天乐·新烟初试花如梦鉴赏
此应是忆去姬之作。“新烟”两句，言在寒食之后，重新点燃烟火烧食，这时候已经到了繁花似梦的暮春季节，外面茫茫春雨仿佛就是巫山云雨。“茂苑”三句，承上忆昔。言自己曾去冶游狎妓。是时，词人羁旅在外，为生计而奔波，所以与同为生计而卖笑的歌妓有了“同是天涯沦落人”的互相爱怜的共同语言。“秦楼”，指歌妓院，所谓“秦楼楚馆”即指此。“游情”五句，由自叹转而思念家乡。言自己在这暮春时节尚羁游在外，这份孤独感是最难忍受的。由此而触发游子殷切的思乡之情。想那故乡的渡口，如今早已湮没在浓绿丛中；家中荒芜的庭园，也一定长满了杂乱的莎草；园中仅存的几株梨树，恐怕这会儿已是开满了白花；河滩上随着和煦的晚风飞来几只白鹭，正在自由自在地戏水觅食。
“流红”三句，言在这“桃花流水杳然去”的暮春时节，词人想起从前也是这样一个时候，曾与一位相爱的女子在那“云外别墅”举起翠绿色的酒杯，同饮美酒。“淡月”三句，承上而伤如今。言现在她却已离开这里，剩下的惟有园中她曾戏玩过的秋千架，还静悄悄地呆立在朦胧的月色下；而园中小径仿佛还散发着她那体内的幽香。词人触景伤情，思恋的哀愁深深盘绕在心头。“听歌”三句，“柳蛮樱素”，本是白居易的两位侍妾名，白有诗“樱桃樊素口，杨柳小蛮腰”可证之。这里词人借代作爱人。言如今每逢听到别的女子唱歌或是看到别的女子跳舞时，词人总会联想起自己爱人的楚楚倩影来。“睡起”两句，呼应上面孤独之苦况。言自己从醉意朦胧中醒来，隐隐听见不知从什么地方传来的一阵幽幽的洞箫声，更使他平添一份烦愁。从上面词中消息透露，这也是一首怀念去妾的词作。如“流红江上去远”，也可释为：去妾已离他远去；“淡月秋千”与《风入松》中“黄蜂频扑秋千索，有当时，纤手香凝”，如出一辙；“柳蛮樱素”，是直指去妾矣。

吴文英（约1200～1260），字君特，号梦窗，晚年又号觉翁，四明（今浙江宁波）人。原出翁姓，后出嗣吴氏。与贾似道友善。有《梦窗词集》一部，存词三百四十余首，分四卷本与一卷本。其词作数量丰沃，风格雅致，多酬答、伤时与忆悼之作，号“词中李商隐”。而后世品评却甚有争论。
