山果熟，水花香，家家风景有池塘。木兰舟上珠帘卷，歌声远，椰子酒倾鹦鹉盏。
南乡子·山果熟鉴赏
这首小令，以清新的语言，明快的色调，热情描摹歌颂了江南的风光。
荷花之最秀异者叫“水花”，这里实指菱荷之类。头三句说，在秋高气爽的季节，山上的各种水果成熟了，菱荷也散发着清清的芳香，家家户户都有种藕养鱼的池塘。从“家家风景有池塘”的描写里，使人不仅看到了江南山光水色的秀美，也想到了这里人民的勤劳和富庶。在写法上，这几句是从大处着笔，范围逐渐缩小。后面几句，则又由一个船头的侧影着笔，将意境开拓开去，使人想象到一个更广阔的境界。“木兰舟上珠帘卷”，木兰，木兰花，木兰树质坚硬，是做舟楫的好原料。《述异记》说：“七里洲中有鲁班刻木兰为舟，至今在洲中。诗家所云木兰舟出于此。”这里说，在华丽的木兰舟上卷起了珠帘——未写人而想见其人。“歌声远”三字，使人仿佛看到了词人那聆听妙音的兴致，船近时既观且听，船行远了仍在倾耳；“椰子酒倾鹦鹉盏”（鹦鹉盏，盏就是杯，是用鹦鹉螺制成的一种酒杯名。鹦鹉螺，壳乳白色，有青绿斑，里面有光如真珠，螺层尖处屈曲如鹦鹉嘴状，制为酒器，古雅奇趣可玩。大者可容酒二升，小者似今之酒杯稍大。薛道衡《和许给事善心戏场转韵》诗：“共酌琼酥酒，同倾鹦鹉杯。”可知这是一种较为名贵的酒杯）则是且听远音且忆方才船头所见的情景：男的手持鹦鹉杯，美美的饮着江南特有的用椰子酿制的酒浆，女的在放开她那清脆婉转的歌喉，船行远了，他还在“歌声远”中仔细地听着，品味着所见情景，这不仅使人想见到了歌声的优美，而且看到了一幅天长水远的画面，看到了一幅词人陶醉江南风光的图画。
一首仅仅三十个字的小令，却描绘出了江南山光水色之秀美，肥田沃土之喜人，农民之勤劳富庶，富者之悠闲自得，词人之喜悦欢畅，清川之舟楫往还。这样大的容涵量，写得却不拥不挤，雍容自如，疏淡雅致，这是很难得的。张炎《词源》说：“大词之料，可以敛为小词，小词之料，不可展为大词。”作者的本领，就在于能将“大词之料”写成一篇小词，读来使人感到精美而有韵致。张炎又说：“词之难于令曲，如诗之难于绝句。不过十数句，一句一字闲不得。末句最当留意，有有余不尽之意始佳。”这首小令的收尾，就富有余音缭绕之佳趣。

李珣（855？-930？），五代词人。字德润，其祖先为波斯人。居家梓州（四川省三台）。生卒年均不详，约唐昭宗乾宁中前后在世。少有时名，所吟诗句，往往动人。妹舜弦为王衍昭仪，他尝以秀才预宾贡。又通医理，兼卖香药，可见他还不脱波斯人本色。蜀亡，遂亦不仕他姓。珣著有琼瑶集，已佚，今存词五十四首，（见《唐五代词》）多感慨之音。）
