离家远游过山川，山山水水长又宽。
挥鞭策马登峻岭，提缰徐行过平原。
夜宿形影自相伴，晨起含悲又向前。
收缰驻马悬崖下，侧耳倾听悲风响。

抚几久久不能寐，披衣独自心怅惘。

案辔：按辔，谓扣紧马缰使马缓行或停止。
遵：沿着。
平莽：平坦广阔的草原。

徂（cú）：往，行走。
衔思：心怀思绪。
顿辔：拉住马缰使马停下。
倚：斜靠。
嵩岩：即指岩石。嵩，泛指高山。
清露：洁净的露水。
素辉：白色的亮光。
一何：多么。
朗：明亮。
振衣：振衣去尘，即指披衣而起。

赴洛道中作创作背景
陆机的祖父陆逊是三国时吴国的丞相、父亲陆抗是大司马。在吴国灭亡后，他于太康十年（289年），即二十九岁时，与弟弟陆云离开家乡吴郡吴县华亭（今上海市松江）赴洛阳。《赴洛道中作》二首作于他赴洛阳途中。

赴洛道中作鉴赏
这首诗仍然是写陆机赴洛阳途中所见的景物和自己的心情。但是写法略有不同。
全诗借景抒情，曲折委婉，语句精炼而流畅，格调清丽凄清，形象鲜明，意蕴深远，悲楚动人，富有韵味。
“远游越山川，山川修且广。振策陟崇丘，案辔遵平莽。”首句仍然紧扣诗题来写的。陆机从家乡吴郡吴县华亭（今上海市松江）赴洛阳，当然是“远游”。一路上越过万水千山，而山山水水是那样的修长和宽广。诗人有时挥鞭驱马登上高山，有时手握缰绳，在有草的平地上缓慢地向前走。从这一重重山，一条条水，忽而高山，忽而平地，可以想象到诗人长途跋涉的艰辛。因此，这里不只是描写沿途的山水景色，也透露了诗人风尘仆仆的苦情。但是，这首诗中的写景与前首不同，前首“永叹”十句写沿途山水景色讲究辞藻，大肆铺陈；这首诗只是寥寥数句，轻轻带过。这种有详有略的写法，使人感到各有特点。
“夕息抱影寐，朝徂衔思往。”晚上休息是孤零零地抱影而寐，早晨起来怀着悲伤又上路了。写出诗人的孤独、寂寞和忧伤。这些复杂感情的产生，固然是由诗人思念亲人，留恋故乡，大概也参杂了对前途的忧虑。前首诗说：“总辔登长路，呜咽辞密亲。借问子何之，世网婴我身。”呜咽辞亲，“世网”缠身，应该就是这种复杂感情的具体内容。清代刘熙载《艺概·文概》说：“六代之文丽才多而炼才少。有炼才焉，如陆士衡是也。”陆机文如此，其诗亦复如此，“夕息”二句可见其语言提炼功夫。这两句诗不仅对仗工整，而且动词“抱”“衔”的使用皆备极精巧，是陆诗中的佳句。
“顿辔倚嵩岩，侧听悲风响。”走了一段路程，停下马来，倚着高峻的山崖休息一会儿，侧耳倾听悲风的声响。这里，进一步写诗人旅途的孤独和艰辛。倚岩休息，竟无人与语，只能侧身倾听悲风，可见其孤独。称秋风为“悲风”，使秋风涂上诗人感情之色彩，又可见其心情之忧郁。诗人旅途生活中的这一细节，又使读者联想到前首诗所描写的沿途景色：“行行遂已远，野途旷无人。山泽纷纡馀，林薄杳阡眠。虎啸深谷底，鸡鸣高树巅。哀风中夜流，孤兽更我前。”这里对途中空旷无人和恐怖气氛的描写，有助于读者了解诗人的孤独和艰辛。
“清露坠素辉，明月一何朗。抚枕不能寐，振衣独长想。”意思是：夜露下滴，闪烁着洁白的光辉，啊，月光是多么的明朗！对月抚枕，不能入睡，穿上衣服独自遐想。这是写途中夜宿的情景。“清露”二句，写得幽雅净爽，清丽简远，受到前人的赞赏。结尾“抚枕”二句，表现诗人不平静的心情，饶有余味。陆机是吴国将相名门之后，素有雄心壮志。他的《百年歌》中说：“三十时，行成名立有令闻，力可扛鼎志干云。”《晋书·陆机传》说他“负其才望，而志匡世难”。可是在他二十岁时，吴国灭亡。太康十年（289年），他和弟弟陆云被迫入洛。其前途是吉是凶，难以逆料，所以他的内心忐忑不安，很不平静。
陆机说：“诗缘情而绮靡。”（《文赋》）这是认为诗歌具有注重抒情的性质和文词精妙的特点。这种诗缘情说和儒家的诗言志说不同，清代沈德潜认为“殊非诗人之旨”（《古诗源》卷七），其实这正是魏晋以来诗歌的新变化。作为“太康之英”（钟嵘《诗品序》）的陆机，他的诗就具有这样的特点，如此诗中“振策陟崇丘，案辔遵平莽”，“夕息抱影寐，朝徂衔思往”，文词华美，对偶工稳，“清露坠素辉，明月一何朗”，用词造句，刻练求工，都是例子。陆机诗精于语言的提炼，善于写景，即景抒情，具有情景交融的艺术效果。

陆机（261－303），字士衡，吴郡吴县（今江苏苏州）人，西晋文学家、书法家，孙吴丞相陆逊之孙、大司马陆抗之子，与其弟陆云合称“二陆”。孙吴灭亡后出仕晋朝司马氏政权，曾历任平原内史、祭酒、著作郎等职，世称“陆平原”。后死于“八王之乱”，被夷三族。他“少有奇才，文章冠世”（《晋书·陆机传》），与弟陆云俱为中国西晋时期著名文学家，被誉为“太康之英”。陆机还是一位杰出的书法家，他的《平复帖》是中古代存世最早的名人书法真迹。
