绛都春·题蓬莱阁灯屏创作背景
“蓬莱阁”，在绍兴市内。《会稽续志》：“蓬莱阁在州治设厅之后，卧龙山下。吴越王钱鏐建。”是当地的一处登临胜地。“履翁”，即吴潜。吴潜在公元1249年（淳祐九年）后，赴越州（绍兴）为浙乐安抚使，故称之“帅越”。此词应也作于是年。
绛都春·题蓬莱阁灯屏鉴赏
《绛都春》，《梦窗词集》入“仙吕调”。双调，一百字，上下片各六仄韵。第二句第一字是领格，宜用去声字。此调《梦窗词集》共收六首，但因句逗上下片都不尽相同。所以各词句数有些差异。大致可分为，上下各九句，一格；上片十句，下片九句一格；上下片各十句一格共三个格。一般以上片十句，下片九句的为正格。
“螺屏”三句，叙述观赏灯屏及点明时间。此言蓬莱阁中的灯屏用翠绿色的螺钿镶嵌而成，当暮霭沉沉，晴空中星河闪烁之时，灯屏中就会点燃烛光，用以招徕人们前去观赏。“路幕”四句，描述灯屏中的风景。此言灯屏上画着路障屏幕，有人正在供香相迎；又有一队开路的马队，尘土蔽空顺风而来。而画中的蓬莱阁好像就是海上仙山浮载在鳌背上一般，景色美妙而且仙气飘逸。四句也从暗中点出了“履翁帅越”之意。“宝阶”三句，述阁外的夜景。此言天上的北斗星像倾斜的街阶一样开始向西倾转，月光明亮，夜空中清静如水。上片描述屏中画景及记述阁外的夜景。
“应记”三句，旧地重游。“千秋”两句，化用汉丁令威学道，化鹤归辽东的故事，事见《搜神后记》“汉丁令威学道于灵虚山。后化鹤归辽，徘徊空中而言：‘有鸟有鸟丁令威，去家千年今始归；城郭如故人民非，何不学仙冢垒垒？’遂高冲上天”。此处是说：虽然我离开这里像丁令威离开故乡那样已有多年，但是现在再到这儿旧地重游，我还是应该记得旧时山水的大致面目。“暗解”四句，忆及旧事。此处是说：记得从前我有一回曾与人一起游春，并且笙歌欢宴达旦至醉；有一次还暗地里解开绣花囊，取出一枚金钱来卜取吉凶祸福呢。“又上苑”三句，述眼前景色。“上苑”，即皇宫的上林苑。这里泛指越州的贵族花园。“一苇”，用达摩“一苇渡江”典故，这里借代小舟。此处是说：如今我们又来到了以前曾经游玩过的一处贵族花园中，并且在园中的舟上设宴为履翁洗尘接风，酒宴处的四周景色仿佛处在万花似锦的画镜里一样。下片追忆旧事，并照应“履翁帅越”词题。

吴文英（约1200～1260），字君特，号梦窗，晚年又号觉翁，四明（今浙江宁波）人。原出翁姓，后出嗣吴氏。与贾似道友善。有《梦窗词集》一部，存词三百四十余首，分四卷本与一卷本。其词作数量丰沃，风格雅致，多酬答、伤时与忆悼之作，号“词中李商隐”。而后世品评却甚有争论。
