拟泛烟中片叶，但两湖佳处，任风吹泊。山水清音听未了，隐岸玉筝金索。头上催诗，枕边滴梦，谩惜瑶卮落。相看不厌，两高天际孤削。
念奴娇·西湖雨感次素庵韵鉴赏
此词为作者夫妇寓居西湖时因雨有感而作。词的开篇即从雨写起，“雨窗闲话，叹浮生何必，是今非昨”，小窗外，细雨淅沥，珠帘内夫妇对坐，闲话中谈及如烟往事，夫妇二人禁不住顿生今是昨非之叹。接着的“几遍青山酬对好，依旧黛眉当阁”句，写人写景，表达对大自然的喜爱。多少次夫妇面对青山诗词唱和，到而今细雨迷蒙中，青山依旧，黛眉依扣，只是空去了如烟的往事。“洒道轮香，润花杯满，不似前秋恶”，仍写雨，只因有了这宜人的细雨，这个秋天同去年相比，也变的美丽起来。字词行间透露出对这雨中西湖的喜爱之情。而“不似前秋恶”一句，更是语直意显，直吐出作者对雨中今秋的好感。上片末二句“绣帘才卷，一楼空翠回薄”，名为写帘、写楼，实则仍是写雨，绣帘高高挑起，满山满湖回旋的青翠仿佛染绿了楼宇，使得它空翠之色顿生。于是词人也便有了下片纵情山水的念头。过片后，首三句：“拟泛烟中片叶，但两湖佳处，任风吹泊”。在烟雨蒙蒙中，词人只想乘一叶小舟，让风儿吹着那只孤舟，游遍西湖的每一处胜景。“山水清音听未了，隐岸玉筝金索”让词人留恋不已的不仅是那绵绵不绝的清越的山水之音还有邈远的岸边传来的隐约的古筝之声。其下三句“头上催诗，枕边滴梦，谩惜瑶卮落”词人由雨而生发感慨。催发诗兴的是那头顶上不断飘落的如丝细雨，引人入梦的也是那枕边不断滴落的雨丝，手举玉杯，词人禁不住空自蹉叹。“相看不厌，两高天际孤削”，写人与山的契合。远远抛，两座高峰巍然耸立，直插云霄。词人的情怀在与自然的对视中得到了慰藉。

徐灿（约1618－1698），字湘苹，又字明深、明霞，号深明，又号紫言（竹字头）。江南吴县（今苏州市西南）人。明末清初女词人、诗人、书画家，为“蕉园五子”之一。光禄丞徐子懋女，弘文院大学士海宁陈之遴继妻。从夫宦游，封一品夫人。工诗，尤长于词学。她的词多抒发故国之思、兴亡之感。又善属文、精书画、所画仕女设色淡雅、笔法古秀、工净有度、得北宋人法，晚年画水墨观音、间作花草。著有《拙政园诗馀》三卷，诗集《拙政园诗集》二卷，凡诗二百四十六首，今皆存。
