译文
戴上了乌纱帽，真是比白色接篱好得多。
我并不去照镜子，因为小儿子已经说很合适了。
注释
领得：诗曰“领得”，此乌纱帽当为兖州瑕丘官府的友人所赠。
乌纱帽：南朝宋明帝初年，建安王休仁置乌纱帽，以乌纱抽扎帽边。隋帝王贵臣多服乌纱帽，后民间贵贱皆服。
白接蓠：白接篱，意指白头巾，白帽。《尔雅》注：鹭头翅背上皆有长翰毛，江东取为接篱。李白《襄阳曲》（二）有“头上白接篱”。《广韵》：“接篱，白帽也。”宋程大昌《演繁露》说：“《隋志》：宋、齐之间，天子宴私，著白高帽；士庶以乌；天子在上省，则帽以乌纱，在永福省，则白纱。隋时以白幍通为庆、吊之服，国子生服白纱巾。晋人著白接篱，窦苹《酒谱》曰：‘白接篱，巾也。’南齐桓崇祖守寿春，著白纱帽，肩舆上城。……郭林宗遇雨垫巾，太子（李）贤注云：周迁《舆服杂事》曰：巾以葛为之，形如幍。本居士野人所服。魏武造幍，其巾乃废。今国子学生服焉，以白纱为之。……《唐六典》：天子服有白纱帽。其下服如裙襦袜皆以白。视朝听讼，燕见宾客，皆以进御。然其下注云：亦用乌纱。”杜甫《陪郑广文游何将军山林》：“醉把青荷叶，狂遗白接篱。”陆游《避暑近村偶题》诗：“红尘冠盖真堪怕，还我平生白接篱。”
山人：李白自谓。李白奉诏入京之前，应正隐于徂徕山之竹溪，故自称“山人”。
稚子：稚，幼也。《礼记.曲礼上》：“人生十年曰幼。”《礼记.内则》：“成童，舞象，学射御。”《疏》曰：“成童，谓十五以上。”此“稚子”指李白爱子伯禽。时伯禽年龄在十至十四间，故谓。

答友人赠乌纱帽创作背景
詹锳《李白诗文系年》开元二十九年（741）：“白居东鲁，子明月奴生于鲁中，取名伯禽，约在本年。”又天宝元年（724）：“《南陵别儿童入京》诗谓：‘儿女嬉笑牵人衣’，度其时白之儿女盖在三五岁间”。此诗与《南陵别儿童入京》同为天宝元年（742）玄宗征诏下至家中后所作。

答友人赠乌纱帽鉴赏
查旧版《辞海》“乌纱”条，谓“古官帽名”，并引《晋书·舆服志》及《唐书·舆服志》作为佐证。说是“古官帽名”，当然无误；但读了此条，失之太简，仍不能使人明白乌纱帽的来龙去脉。
其实，乌纱帽早先并非官帽。如果望文生义，以为李白既然戴了乌纱帽，一定是做了官了，其实不然，乌纱帽在唐代与“白接”一样，是一种日常便帽。因此，李白此诗所写，只是隐处期间的一件小事；并进而论曰：“宋元时代，尚未见将官帽称为‘乌纱帽’，而明以后的文学作品中，则屡见不鲜。”（“乌纱帽”小考，《学林漫录》六集）这个结论是符合历史实际的。
此诗运用铺叙的手法，描绘出一幅戴乌纱帽犹胜白头巾、儿子言辞很相宜的生活情趣图，诗句通俗易懂、言简意赅，生动诙谐地表达出诗人生活细节、小有情致的隐居生活。
此诗以画面清晰胜，浓墨淡彩，人、物、情浑然一体，透露了诗人脱却山人服、试戴乌纱帽时的喜悦心情，与《南陵别儿童入京》诗中“仰天大笑出门去，我辈岂是蓬蒿人”之心情相合，据诗意，此诗略在前，《南陵别儿童入京》诗稍后。

李白（701年－762年），字太白，号青莲居士，唐朝浪漫主义诗人，被后人誉为“诗仙”。祖籍陇西成纪(待考)，出生于西域碎叶城，4岁再随父迁至剑南道绵州。李白存世诗文千余篇，有《李太白集》传世。762年病逝，享年61岁。其墓在今安徽当涂，四川江油、湖北安陆有纪念馆。
