译文
世俗的人互相结交需要以黄金为纽带，黄金用得不多，交情自然不深。
纵然口头上暂时承诺了什么，实际上他的心就如路人一样冷漠。
注释
世人：指世俗之人。
纵令：纵然，即使。
然诺：许诺。然：答应，信守。
悠悠：平淡隔膜、庸俗不堪的样子。
行路心：路上行人的心理。
题长安壁主人创作背景
诗题中的长安壁主人，是典型的市侩人物。作为大唐帝国京都的长安，是中外交通的枢纽和对外贸易中心，“丝绸之路”的集散地。《题长安壁主人》即作于中唐以后时期，是张谓在长安的一人家中做客时题于壁上的。

题长安壁主人鉴赏
“世人结交须黄金，黄金不多交不深。”揭露出金钱对人情世态的“污染”。黄金一直是古代社会的硬通货，而金钱换“友谊”的事情无论古今都不乏其例。早在西晋，鲁褒就深刻地指出：“舟车上下，役使孔方。凡百君子，同尘和光。上交下接，名誉益彰。”（《钱神论》）
“纵令然诺暂相许，终是悠悠行路心。”形象地勾画出长安壁主人虚情假意的笑脸和冷漠无情的心。“然诺”是信义的标志，金钱是欲望的化身，道德和欲望之间的沟壑永难填平，这是作为社会动物的人本然而终极的顽疾。“悠悠行路心”正指向这个本性，“悠悠”两字，形容“行路心”，十分恰当地表现出这份本性长久而自然地生长于世人心中。这样一种看似平淡的口气，对人的讥刺不露骨而能达到鞭挞入骨的效果。

张谓（？--777年） 字正言，河内（今河南泌阳县）人，唐代。天宝二年登进士第，乾元中为尚书郎，大历年间潭州刺史，后官至礼部侍郎，三典贡举。其诗辞精意深，讲究格律，诗风清正，多饮宴送别之作。代表作有《早梅》《邵陵作》《送裴侍御归上都》等，其中以《早梅》为最著名，《唐诗三百首》各选本多有辑录。“不知近水花先发，疑是经冬雪未消”，疑白梅作雪，写得很有新意，趣味盎然。诗一卷。
