译文
岸边的树木隐隐绰绰地飘浮，天的尽头一缕孤烟袅袅升起。
江水蓝天浑然一体上下相合，缥缈云烟朦胧远树上下相似。
江水浩浩汤汤难以穷尽其源，扬帆的小舟飘到哪里才停止？
注释
零陵：县名，属湖南省。次：停留。新亭：亭名，故址在今江苏江宁南，即劳劳亭。
江干：江岸。干：水边。
天末：天边。
烟树：云烟笼罩的树。
沧流：青色的水流。未可源：看不到它的源头。
颿（fān）：同“帆”。
之零陵郡次新亭创作背景
南朝齐永明十年（492年），作者范云出使北魏，归来不久便被任命为零陵郡内史。此诗是他前往赴任，刚刚离开京城，在新亭止宿时所作。

之零陵郡次新亭鉴赏
“江干远树浮”二句，粗笔勾画江天远望的视觉印象，顺便点题。开篇就是“远树”、“天际”，使诗人那极日远眺、思深虑远的意态跃然纸上。远处的树木随着江岸一起在水面上飘浮，这是一种艺术变形，是由舟中远望时动摇不定的视觉印象与若浮若现的身世之感交融而产生的创造性想象。远烟孤起，是一个经过强化的画面。远烟，本来并不惹人注目，诗人不仅表现了它的存在，而且强调了它那孤独的升起，显然，这是孤身羁旅之情的外射。
“江天自如合”二句，如果说前两句勾出了一幅初步的素描稿，那么这两句就是深入刻画的景象，表现着印象与感受的更深一个层次。看吧，江天一色，空明浑涵，远树如烟，虚实一体。诗人在物与己的对比关照中，强烈意识到天地的雄浑壮观和大自然的自在与和谐。
“沧流未可源”二句，是画面绘事的最后一笔。诗句主要抒写去程邈远，难以预期，宦海浮沉，吉凶莫测的忧虑。其中不乏失落感和虚无感。与此同时，诗句也赞叹了大自然的无限壮阔，从中可以窥见诗人灵魂深处积极高扬成分的折光。
这首诗以写景为主，但景中寓情，写得情景交融，诗意盎然。诗人强调主观印象、独特感受。按照由景入情，由实入虚的脉络展开意境，两句一转，层次井然。诗歌的笔调疏淡，语言清丽。
范云诗向有“轻便宛转，如流风回雪”（钟嵘《诗品》）之誉，此诗当之无愧。口语化的诗句，和谐的声韵，巧妙的对仗，读来有如流风回雪，轻便宛转。诗有凄婉之意，但因眼界高远，用笔遒劲，基本情调还是悲壮的。
