译文
溪边两棵松树盘结在一起，它们互相背离呈现奇特之貌。看上去像要展翅飞翔，就像苍龙飞坠下来吸取溪水一样。
溪边平地上有无数绿树，它们亭亭玉立，像都在争取离云更近一些的态势。总以为遂了平生之愿，人间的大爱就是为它而喜欢。
注释
①蝶恋花：词牌名，出自唐教坊曲，本采用于梁简文帝：“翻阶蛱蝶恋花情”为名。分上下两阕，共六十个字。
②落落：独立不群貌。盘根：谓树木根株盘曲纠结。得地：得到适宜生长之地。
③拚（fān ）飞：飞行轻捷的样子。
④苍龙：比喻松。
⑤平冈：指山脊平坦处。千叠翠：无数层的翠绿。
⑥亭亭：高耸貌。
⑦拏（ná）云势：犹凌云之势。
⑧生意遂：谓生命力的要求得到满足。
⑨为渠媚：为它而做出美丽的姿态。渠：它。

蝶恋花·落落盘根真得地创作背景
此词于1908年二月所作。王国维自幼随祖父鉴赏书画，这首词是他在海宁家居时观画后兴发而作。

蝶恋花·落落盘根真得地鉴赏
这首词曲像一幅山水画，构图很有层次：近景是姿态奇特的涧畔双松，它们像两条本来要飞上天去的龙，不知为什么折回头来探入涧底的溪水；远景是平冈上的群树，它们一片翠绿，把枝梢高高地伸向云端。“万树”欣欣赂荣，“双松”自得其乐，宁静的自然美在神不在貌，有点王维山水诗的意境。
首先是“双松”和“万树”的对比：双松的位置是“涧畔”，它们的姿态是坠，是“下饮”；万树的位置是“溪上平冈”，它们的姿态是“争作拏云势”。这种位置和姿态的对比很容易使人联想到“郁郁涧底松”和“离离山上苗”。“落落盘根真得地”套用了杜甫《古柏行》的诗句。
其次最后两句GREn/ target=_blank class=infotextkey>用人们的想法来对比前面大自然的规律，是王国维想要借此来表达自己的哲理思想。然而可能作者自己也感觉到了这首词中“形”与“意”之间的矛盾，所以在结尾忽翻新意：“总为自家生意遂，人间爱道为渠媚。”这是进一步超脱，完全从“以物观物”的角度出发，指出树的姿态是为了适合自己生活环境的需要。
王国维要写出一种无我之境的自然山水风景，却不能达到那种“无我”的境界；他要表现老庄的超脱却总是堕入儒家的执著；王国维不想让这首词表达出托物寓意，但最后两句反而使读者展开意境的联想。也正是这些矛盾形成了这首词中很丰富的言外意蕴，足以让读者慢慢去咀嚼品味。
