译文
因为喜爱你那青葱的秀色，所以把你移种到这个地方来。
不曾被植种于御史台中，只能栽于这沙漠之中。
柏树傲视那叶片脆弱易折的门前柳树，嘲笑那花朵滥放媚俗的院内梅花。
不用发愁岁月已近冬日，那些寒霜冷露哪里能令柏树摧损呢？
注释
李十五栖筠：李栖筠，安西节度府判官。
台：指御史台。汉代御史府中多植柏树，后因称御史台为柏台或柏府。
碛：沙漠。
使院中新栽柏树子呈李十五栖筠鉴赏
这首诗作于公元755年（天宝十四载）。这是一首典型的咏物诗，呈给友人，是用以互相勉励之意。
开篇二句叙述移栽柏树的原因，言辞极为朴实、淡雅，颇有古韵。“爱尔青青色，移根此地来”，以如此恬静、闲适的笔触引领全文，令人如处炎炎夏日，避身于柏树浓阴之下，一股清凉之气溢满全身，令人心驰神往。
颔联二句是诗人对这株柏树命运的叹惜：很明显这是诗人引以自喻，即自己不能被任用于朝堂，只好兀兀效力于边塞。其实，柏树无论栽于何处，那“青青”秀色是不变的，也正如诗人不论身处庙堂之高还是居身于边塞之远，都能时时以报国为己任，其高风亮节如翠柏常青，千载而后浓阴仍能荫庇后人。
“脆叶欺门柳，狂花笑院梅”二句运用了拟人和倒装的修辞手法，十分生动传神地表达了诗人对那些窃居高位，却不思加强自身修养、为国为民，只是一味地饰言媚上、互相倾轧、争权夺势的无耻之徒的蔑视与嘲笑。
最后，“不须愁岁晚，霜露岂能摧”，夸赞柏树有四季常青的优良品质，足以傲视严寒。同时也是诗人自明心志，表达了任何挫折困难都无从磨灭自己一心为国的志向。
全诗清新、秀雅，颇有建安风骨之气象。先写移栽的原因，饱含着对柏树青葱本色的赞赏；承此而叹惜柏树的命运，又蕴涵对其不弃沙漠之地，仍然茁壮成长的钦佩之情，转而贬斥杨柳与梅花的无聊、纤弱，更衬出柏树的不同凡响；最后高扬柏树的岁寒本色。全诗的意境也同这柏树之品质的升华一样登上更高的台阶。

岑参（约715-770年），唐代边塞诗人，南阳人，太宗时功臣岑文本重孙，后徙居江陵。[1-2] 岑参早岁孤贫，从兄就读，遍览史籍。唐玄宗天宝三载（744年）进士，初为率府兵曹参军。后两次从军边塞，先在安西节度使高仙芝幕府掌书记；天宝末年，封常清为安西北庭节度使时，为其幕府判官。代宗时，曾官嘉州刺史（今四川乐山），世称“岑嘉州”。大历五年（770年）卒于成都。
