洞庭湖广阔无边还兼有风起云涌，岳阳楼孤独无依又处于晚霞放晴。
裴使君把我当徐孺子那样对待礼遇有加，我应和着裴使君就像应和着谢宣城。
我感觉我就像湖岸积雪之中的一丛梅花绽放了，我还感觉我就像百草一样从春天泥土里萌生。
我哪敢违背渔父的关问呢？我从此就要更改我原来的念头不再像屈原那样去南行。
注释
阔：与孤相照。
属（zhǔ）：当也。
徐孺子：豫章南昌人。时陈蕃为太守，以礼请署功曹。
谢宣城：《谢眺传》：除秘书丞，未拜，仍转中书郎，出为宣城太守。
“敢违渔父问”：怎么敢违背渔夫的关问呢？引自《楚辞》：“屈原既放，游于江潭，渔父见而问之。”
“从此更南征”：从此之后就要更改原来的念头不再去南行了。引自《离骚》：“济沅湘兮南征。”

陪裴使君登岳阳楼创作背景
大历四年春，诗人离开岳阳至潭州、郴州等地时是由白马潭（今湘阴境内）裴隐宅出发的。

大历四年春，诗人离开岳阳至潭州、郴州等地时是由白马潭（今湘阴境内）裴隐宅出发的。
首联描写与洞庭湖阔大之景，次联“礼加徐孺子，诗接谢宣城”，写出了杜甫把自己比做东汉时的名贤徐稚，把裴使君比做礼贤下士的陈蕃，可知杜甫在岳阳的数月，受到了非常好的款待。谢宣城指南北朝齐时的诗人谢眺。他文章清丽，擅长五言诗，曾出任宣城太守，故又有谢宣城之称。杜甫在此处，把裴使君比为谢眺，甚为赞誉。“诗接”一语杜甫对裴使君诗歌的唱对。裴使君如此礼遇款待，一同登楼共赏湖光山色。此时此刻，杜甫心情能不激动。杜甫到岳阳对裴使君说，也是十分高兴的。当看到饥寒交迫的老友，如此落寞，给以温暖的款待是必然的。故杜甫在岳阳时得到了精神和物质上的安慰。故有“雪岸丛梅发，春泥百草生。敢违渔父问，从此更南征”的诗唏。
最后两句，历来见仁见智。对“渔父问”的典故，凡读过《屈原列传》的人都会记得渔父劝说屈原“与世推移”“随其流扬其波”的话。那么，杜甫用此典其意何在呢？“礼加徐孺子，诗接谢宣城。”是称赞裴使君的，这应该没有疑义。称赞的原因，我想绝不只是场面上的客套。不管出于何种动机，裴使君款待了杜甫，且陪杜甫(不是杜甫陪裴使君)登楼远眺。但仅仅因为这一点就口不对心地妄加颂辞，恐怕不是杜甫一贯的为人处事的风格。在江陵时，杜甫就曾多次称颂过镇守荆州的阳城郡王卫伯玉——尽管卫伯玉并不是科举出身，也不懂诗词歌赋，但他却掌管着荆州的军政大权。杜甫的称赞其实是一种“感情投资”，希望以文词上发自内心的赞美博得卫的好感，再次“托身官府”续写在成都时与严武相交的翻版故事。可惜的是，卫伯玉不是严武，杜甫的“示爱”在今天看来便成了一种可笑而又令人心痛的单相思。以此来推演，也可以把《陪裴使君登岳阳楼》看作是杜甫在江陵一系列诗作的续篇。杜甫此时对裴使君能收留、重用自己是心存希望的，从诗中可以看出，裴使君也是文人出身，而文人就应该对我杜甫这样的大诗人礼遇、关照、抚慰甚至起用的。只是这样的心思不能明言，毕竟与裴使君素昧平生，自己对裴使君的为人还不太清楚。所以，只能在诗的结尾含蓄地借典喻事道出自己的愿望：希望你裴使君像陈蕃那样，待我如徐孺子，那么我就可以违背渔父的劝说，留在岳阳从此不再“与世推移”，不用再漂泊流浪了；换言之，如果你裴使君不能“礼加徐孺子”，那么我岂敢违背渔父的劝说，只好“与世推移”，用今天的话说就是“跟着感觉走”，继续无奈地“南征”。可能裴使君没有读出杜甫的意思或者是领会了而装作不知、不愿理睬，总之，杜甫很快离开了岳阳奔向衡州。从某种意义上说，岳阳其实是杜甫的另一个伤心之地(只是伤心的程度不如在江陵，因为他对留在岳阳本没有抱太大的希望)。但离开岳阳后不久后所作的《南征》诗中的“百年歌自苦，未见有知音”两句，分明道出了心中的不满与愤慨，这其中，恐怕也应该分一点儿给岳阳及岳阳的裴使君吧。

杜甫（712－770），字子美，自号少陵野老，世称“杜工部”、“杜少陵”等，汉族，河南府巩县（今河南省巩义市）人，唐代伟大的现实主义诗人，杜甫被世人尊为“诗圣”，其诗被称为“诗史”。杜甫与李白合称“李杜”，为了跟另外两位诗人李商隐与杜牧即“小李杜”区别开来，杜甫与李白又合称“大李杜”。他忧国忧民，人格高尚，他的约1400余首诗被保留了下来，诗艺精湛，在中国古典诗歌中备受推崇，影响深远。759-766年间曾居成都，后世有杜甫草堂纪念。
