译文
闲步信足，不觉已到前院。彩楼已然搭好，和去年此时的一样：华丽的让人眩晕得手足无措。然而，时过境迁，佳人早已不在，茕茕孑立的我看谁在这样沉迷的夜乞巧！相必此情此景，就连汉宫秋月下夜夜笙歌的影娥池亦只能任凭一潭吹皱的池水空叹了吧！我的心生出还旋寂寞的藤，沿着彩楼蜿蜒，零零落落，缠缠绕绕，纠纠结结。当年你濯濯素手为我缝绽的锦衣华服始终不敢穿在身上——那都是满满的你笑颜如花的念想啊！我的侍从……！不关今日将如何忙乱，也一定要牢记我的叮咛，千万不要触碰那些早已沉压柜底的旧罗衫啊！
夜，无视我的抗拒，准时地来到了。纤云弄巧，今夜的美我不忍享用。也罢，众人皆沉迷于她锦袍缎裳不可企及的魅惑，那么就让我，独驾一叶扁舟，流淌在北海中央，许能寻回昨日你的倩影。我至亲至爱的人哪，你是否看到菱蔓交缠，扯出粉莲涩涩娇羞。它娉娉婷婷，多像你！试图握紧你的我的手落空了。抬头仰叹：璀璨的繁星啊，这良辰美景，亦不过你我想对！哦……那是你吗？手持我送你的妆盒袅娜而至？故人诚不欺我也——！天上人间，你我之恋，弥久恒远……。
注释
七夕：农厉七舟七日之夜、俗称七夕。《荆婚岁时记》载：“七月七日为牵牛平织女集会之夜。是夕、人家妇女结缕彩, 穿七孔针，或金银鍮石为针，陈瓜果于庭中以乞巧。有喜子（蜘蛛）网瓜上，则以符应。”又，《东京华梦录·七夕》云：“至初六、初七日晚，贵家多结彩于庭，谓之乞巧楼，铺阵磨喝乐、花瓜酒炙、笔砚针线。或儿童裁诗，女郎歹呈巧，焚香列拜，谓之乞巧。妇女望月穿针，或以小蜘蛛安合子内，次日看之，若网圆正，谓之得巧。”，故七夕是为古代一大节日，此日除乞巧外，民间还有曝晾经书，弄化生(用蜡作的婴儿)，即乞子，同时亦有乞富、乞寿等风俗。
影娥池：池名。《三辅黄图》谓：汉武帝于望鹄台西建俯月台，台下穿池，月影入池中，使宫人乘舟弄月影，因名影娥池。唐上官仪《咏雪应诏》：“花明栖凤阁，珠散影娥池。”
丁宁：同叮咛。
罗衣：软而轻的丝制衣服。
莲粉：即莲花。
菱丝：菱蔓。
翳：遮掩之意。
钿合：金饰之盒。
盒：古作“合”字。古代女子以此为定情之信物。陈鸿《长恨歌传》谓：“定情之夕，授金钗钿合以固之。”又，李贺《春怀引》：“宝枕垂云选春梦，钿合碧寒龙脑冻。”
鹊桥仙·乞巧楼空鉴赏
此篇约作于爱妻亡故之后，词中表达了楼空人去，物是人非的伤感，又进而生发出梦幻般的奇想。亦实亦虚、饶有浪慢特色。

纳兰性德（1655－1685），满洲人，字容若，号楞伽山人，清代最著名词人之一。其诗词“纳兰词”在清代以至整个中国词坛上都享有很高的声誉，在中国文学史上也占有光采夺目的一席。他生活于满汉融合时期，其贵族家庭兴衰具有关联于王朝国事的典型性。虽侍从帝王，却向往经历平淡。特殊的生活环境背景，加之个人的超逸才华，使其诗词创作呈现出独特的个性和鲜明的艺术风格。流传至今的《木兰花令·拟古决绝词》——“人生若只如初见，何事秋风悲画扇？等闲变却故人心，却道故人心易变。”富于意境，是其众多代表作之一。
