译文
夜合花沐浴着雨后的阳光，千枝万朵红丝轻拂，袅袅地蒸腾着浓郁的芳香。闲时又梦见那豪华的厅堂，旁边的萱草又绿又长，在那里我们相知相识。
绣帘的流苏仿佛坠压在我的心头，远山的碧绿如我眉间浓浓的忧愁。溪桥下流水潺潺，凭栏远眺，思魂更是难禁，春水流淌的都是我的相思与忧愁。
注释
⑴菩萨蛮：又名“子夜歌”“重叠金”。唐教坊曲，后用为词牌名。《宋史·乐志》、《尊前集》、《金奁集》并入“中吕宫”，《张子野词》作“中吕调”。
⑵夜合：合欢花的别称，又名合昏。古时赠人，以消怨合好。玲珑：空明。日：彊村本《尊前集》作“月”。
⑶香袅：香气浮动。红丝拂：指夜合花下垂飘动。
⑷金堂：华丽的厅堂。
萱草：草本植物，俗称黄花菜，传说能使人忘忧。
箓簌（此二字竹字头换四字头，音lùsù）：下垂貌。此处指帘子下垂的穗子，流苏一类的饰物。
眉黛远山：用黛画眉，秀丽如远山。远山眉与小山眉为古代眉式的种类，并为入时之妆。
渡：雪本《花间集》作“度”。
魂欲销：魂魄将散，神情恍惚。销，失散。

菩萨蛮·雨晴夜合玲珑日创作背景
据《唐才子传》和《北梦琐言》记载，唐宣宗喜欢曲词《菩萨蛮》，相国令狐绹暗自请温庭筠代己新填《菩萨蛮》词以进。据此可知《菩萨蛮》诸词乃温庭筠所撰而由令狐绹进献唐宣宗之作。

菩萨蛮·雨晴夜合玲珑日鉴赏
这是一首闺怨词，写春闺女子的白日闲梦与梦后幽情，时令当在五月盛夏。开头二句，写在雨后阳光之中，无数朵红色的合欢花低垂着，美如雕玉；微风吹过，香气飘动，花瓣流红。一个“拂”字妙写花态，将花谢花飞的景象写活了。这二句兴起男女爱情，女主人公的梦忆由此而生。接着两句写女主人公在这静谧的环境中睡着了，做着美好的梦。醒后回味梦中之事：到了华丽的居所，还见到萱草开满庭院，这是一种令人忘忧的草。这里用草与开头的花相关合。
但梦还是梦，回忆毕竟还是回忆，都不能真正充实她的现实生活。过片二句回到现实：女主人公隔着垂有流苏的绣帘在沉思，那带愁意的眉头像一抹碧绿的远山。结拍二句写女子又情不自禁地凭栏眺望，一江春水，从溪桥下缓缓流过，触景生情，她深感自己的美妙年华，也如春水一样缓缓流逝，不禁情思茫然。这两句化用江淹《别赋》“春草碧色，春水绿波。送君南浦，伤如之何”词意。
此词上片写梦中情事，景美情欢，更反衬出女主人公眼下的失落与凄苦。所以，词的下片写梦后的愁思，尤为痛苦，也尤为感人。整首词中，无论是写梦后所见之景，还是写女子愁眉不展、眺望之思，都充溢着怨与恨、凄苦与哀伤。全词意境缠绵凄艳，语言精工秾丽，如“春水渡溪桥，凭栏魂欲销”二句，情辞俱美，贴合温词密丽秾艳的风格。

温庭筠（约812—866）唐代诗人、词人。本名岐，字飞卿，太原祁（今山西祁县东南）人。富有天才，文思敏捷，每入试，押官韵，八叉手而成八韵，所以也有“温八叉”之称。然恃才不羁，又好讥刺权贵，多犯忌讳，取憎于时，故屡举进士不第，长被贬抑，终生不得志。官终国子助教。精通音律。工诗，与李商隐齐名，时称“温李”。其诗辞藻华丽，秾艳精致，内容多写闺情。其词艺术成就在晚唐诸词人之上，为“花间派”首要词人，对词的发展影响较大。在词史上，与韦庄齐名，并称“温韦”。存词七十余首。后人辑有《温飞卿集》及《金奁集》。
