译文
那是为着什么闲愁才这样愁眉不展的呢？还不是由于老来无奈，百无心绪的晚景堪悲啊！人生百年，只不过像是阳光移动着花影那么飘忽匆忙。每当对镜看到自己的两鬓渐成斑白，更感到心灰意懒，万事皆空啊！
每日来只是溪头醉饮，竹林对弈，打发着这闲暇的岁月，哪儿还有邀朋呼醉、作赋吟诗的旧时豪兴呢？当年那逞强好胜、遇事不甘人后的精神意气如今安在呢？所余只不过是年来久病初起时的弱不禁风了啊！
注释
鹧鸪天：词牌名，又名“思佳客”“半死桐”等，双调五十五字，上下片各三平韵。
重九：旧历九月九日，即重阳节。
旋：渐。花阴：花荫。阴，同“荫”。
溪上枕：喻隐居生活。
竹间棋：喻隐居生活。
十分：全部。筋力：犹体力。
年时：往年。

鹧鸪天·重九席上再赋创作背景
这是词人罢居上饶带湖前期的作品。观词意，当在游鹅湖归来病体恢复后的第一个重阳节。此前词人先有《鹧鸪天·重九席上作》，于重阳酒席上着意称扬“黄菊清高”，末二句谓“明朝九日浑潇洒，莫使尊前欠一枝”，知作于重阳前一日，而意犹未尽，再作此篇，故题称“重九席上再赋”。

鹧鸪天·重九席上再赋鉴赏
这首词是于重九席上吟咏老人心怀的，体现了作者对人生的感喟。全词以白描的手法，直抒胸臆，既写自己衰老的形态，又写自己不服老的精神，沉郁苍凉，显示出作者在艰难的人生道路上，力求超越自我，获取心理平衡的努力。
开头二句以自问自答的方式感喟人生，点出题旨。“有甚闲愁可皱眉”，实际是说自己愁眉不展，并不是因为自己有什么闲愁。作者接下指出为什么要皱眉头，主要是因有老人心怀，故无情无绪，往往自伤自悲。在这里，作者强调了老人心怀，点出了题意。作者的老人心怀也不是否凭空产生的。作者在《满江红》（曲几团蒲）词中借朋友之口劝他：“万事莫侵闲鬓发，百年正要佳眠食。”而在《满庭芳》（西崦斜阳）中又说：“无穷身外事，百年能几，一醉都休。”这一切都表明他想极力超拔人生困境，但终究不易，“百年”二句写出了他对人生困境的觉悟与认识。前一句是说人生百年，转眼即逝；而后一句则是说世路坎坷，壮志莫伸，人情冷暖，晚景落寞，这一切的磨难，都在自己身上打下了深深的印记。回首往事，反思人生，使他产生了某种空漠感和幻灭感，故以消极的态度对待人生。对他来说，枕流洗耳的高洁，竹间下棋的幽雅，饮酒赋诗的超逸，乃至访亲问友的欢快，一概没有兴趣，也懒于去学去做。“溪上枕”三句，比较集中地表现了他对人生的淡漠。但人生的遗憾，并没有使他走上颓唐和玩世。他还是要乐观地面对现实。故词的结尾二句用欲抑先扬的手法，指出现在所说的我身体强健也好，还是说我十分精神也好，都是相对的，是和“年时病起时”相比较而言的。这样结尾既照应了开头，又点出了产生老年心怀的原因，还表现了作者力求超拔人生困境的潇洒的生活态度，意义是极其丰富和深刻的。

辛弃疾（1140－1207），南宋词人。原字坦夫，改字幼安，别号稼轩，汉族，历城（今山东济南）人。出生时，中原已为金兵所占。21岁参加抗金义军，不久归南宋。历任湖北、江西、湖南、福建、浙东安抚使等职。一生力主抗金。曾上《美芹十论》与《九议》，条陈战守之策。其词抒写力图恢复国家统一的爱国热情，倾诉壮志难酬的悲愤，对当时执政者的屈辱求和颇多谴责；也有不少吟咏祖国河山的作品。题材广阔又善化用前人典故入词，风格沉雄豪迈又不乏细腻柔媚之处。由于辛弃疾的抗金主张与当政的主和派政见不合，后被弹劾落职，退隐江西带湖。
