译文
苍天覆盖着我，大地承载着我，天地生养了我是有意还是无意？
否则怎么会有人辟谷追求成仙，有人追求利禄游戏帝都。
怎么能没得到富贵还不离去，做一个只有意气的男人呢？
大丈夫啊大丈夫，生生世世追求志向精神才是深远的谋划啊。
请你看看数百年间发生的事情，像范蠡一样在五湖泛舟才是妥善的最终结局。
注释
①绝粒：即为辟谷，不吃不喝，断绝饮食。
②天衢：天空广阔，任意通行，如同广衢。刘勰《文心雕龙》：驭飞龙驭天衢。衢：大路。
③鸣珂：指居于高位。
④昂藏：气度轩昂貌。
⑤千生：生生世世。
⑥五湖：暗指归隐之所，传闻范蠡辅佐越王勾践灭吴后功成身退，乘轻舟以隐于五湖。

李泌（722---789），字长源，京兆（今西安）人，唐朝大臣。天宝中，自嵩山上书论施政方略，深得玄宗赏识，令其待诏翰林，为东宫属言。为杨国忠所忌，归隐名山。安禄山叛乱，肃宗即位灵武，召他参谋军事，又为幸臣李辅国等诬陷，复隐衡岳。代宗即位，召为翰林学士，又屡为权相元载、常衮排斥，出为外官。
