红杏香中，绿杨影里，画桥春水泠泠。深沉院满，风送卖花声。又是清明近也，粉墙畔，时有迁莺。当此际，人传天上，特降玉麒麟。
风云。今会遇，名邦坐抚，入侍严宸。更儿孙兰玉，都是宁馨。脆管繁弦竞奏，蕙炉袅，沉水烟轻。华筵罢，江城回首，一点寿星明。

译文
春天，红杏枝头闹，绿杨水中漂。雕饰华丽的石拱桥处春水幽深。院外卖花女的歌声，穿过幽深的庭院，飘到每一个人的耳蜗里。清明将近，白墙红瓦的院墙上时有迁徙的莺鸟落脚。就在此时节，人们奔走相告。这种欢乐的气氛感染了上天，因此特降生了一个“玉麒麟”。
风云变幻，斗转星移。今日相见在著名的地方抚养的儿子，幸能入朝为官侍奉当今皇上。少不更事的孙子兰玉都是如此。筵席中，笛声脆脆，繁弦阵阵，音乐声不断。香炉外，香烟袅袅，氤氲弥漫。杯盘狼藉后，临江依栏，回首过往，眼前升起一颗明亮的寿星。
注释
画桥： 雕饰华丽的桥梁。 南朝 陈 阴铿 渡岸桥诗：“画桥长且曲，傍险復凭流。”
春水：春天的河水。三国志·吴志·诸葛瑾传“ 黄武 元年，迁左将军” 裴松之 注引 晋 张勃 吴录：“及春水生， 潘璋 等作水城於上流。” 唐 杜甫 遣意诗之一：“一径野花落，孤村春水生。” 元 杨维桢 雨后云林图诗：“浮云载山山欲行，桥头雨餘春水生。”
泠泠：本指流水声。借指清幽的声音。
深沉：此处幽深。
粉墙： 涂刷成白色的墙。
玉麒麟：对他人儿子的美称。
风云：此处无意。多为感叹词，引出下阙的情感基调。
会遇：即会见。
名邦：著名的地方。
入侍：入朝奉侍。
宸：北极星所在，后借指帝王所居，又引申为王位、帝王的代称
蕙：香草。
寿星：指老人星,古人把它作为长寿的象征,画成额头隆起的老人。也叫寿星老儿。
