译文
我是吴会之地的一片浮云，飘然无可依据如同远行之客。
功业无处可以成就，岁月时光奔促急迫。
雄心壮志即刻放弃消失，衰老疾病日甚一日加剧。
古琴放入空匣无人弹奏，长剑挂在空壁无所可用。
楚囚钟仪奏乐歌吟皆用楚音心在怀楚，越人庄舄贵富不忘家乡病中仍是越声。
国都之门尚在遥远的天外，还乡之路远隔崇山峻岭。
清晨我回忆起司马相如的琴台，夜晚我梦中见扬子云的故宅。
旅途之情此时刚刚了结，秋气肃杀厦是凋落万物之时。
风吹入林松下清冷寒冷，露水下降草间白茫茫一片。
故人如今已不可见，幽幽长梦与谁人相合？
托西飞长鸿捎去一封书信，赠给你安慰那离别分隔之情。
注释
淮南：指今江苏扬州一带。唐在扬州设淮南道，故这里淮南即指扬州。赵征君蕤（ruí）：即赵蕤，字太宾，梓州盐亭（今四川盐亭县）人。《唐书·艺文志》载：开元中召之不赴，有《长短要术》十卷。《四川志》亦言其人“博考六经诸家同异，著《长短经》十卷，明王霸大略，其文亦《申鉴》、《论衡》之流，凡六十三篇。”可见他很有学问，又有骨气，是李白蜀中挚友。古代士人经朝廷征聘者叫征士，君为敬称，故称赵征君蕤。
征君，朝廷征召不赴之人；赵蕤，字太宾，梓州人，是李白居蜀中时结识的友人。
“吴会”二句：曹丕《杂诗》：“西北有浮云，亭亭如车盖。惜哉时不映，适与飘风会。吹我东南行，行行至吴会。” 吴会：即吴、会二郡，相当于今江苏省东南部、浙江省西部一带地方。浮云。用浮游之云以喻自己到处漫游。
岁光：岁月光阴。
奔迫：急迫，形容光阴的匆匆而逝。
良图：良好的打算，即远大的政治抱负。
俄：俄而，很快。
绵剧：形容疾病缠绵、严重。
“楚怀”句：言自己象当年的钟仪、庄舄一样，强烈地怀念故乡。钟仪，春秋时楚国的伶人，晋楚之战中被晋俘虏，仍旧戴着楚国的帽子。晋侯问“南冠而絷者谁也”，手下的人告诉说“楚囚也”，晋侯命放开他。问他的宗族，他回答说“伶人也”，又问“能乐乎”，与之琴，他便奏起南音，南音即楚国的歌曲，表示不忘故土。庄舄（xì），春秋时越国人，在楚国做大官，后来生了病，楚王问：舄，本来是越国的一个穷人，到了楚国才显贵起来，他思念家乡吗？手下人回答道：派人去了解过了，他在床上口中还作越声。
“越吟”句：《史记·张仪列传》载：“越人庄舄仕楚执圭，有顷而病。楚王曰：舄，故越之鄙细人也。今仕楚执圭，贵富矣，亦思越不？中谢对曰：凡人之思，故在其病也。彼思越则越声，不思越则楚声。使人往听之，犹尚越声也。”
国门：国都之门。
相如台：汉代蜀人司马相如琴台，在成都。子云宅：汉代蜀人扬雄故宅，在成都。二者都是蜀人，诗人“朝忆”“夜梦"这些地方，都是表达对故乡的怀念。
寂历：凋落疏离。
“故人”二句：一本作“故人不在此，而我谁与适”。适，适意，愉悦。
飞鸿：即鸿雁。古人有鸿雁传书的传说，所以此处以飞鸿比喻所寄赠的这首诗。
离析：不得会聚。

淮南卧病书怀寄蜀中赵徵君蕤创作背景
此诗大约是诗人开元十五年初出蜀东游卧病扬州时所作。是时功业未就，又久病缠身，感慨良深，故寄诗给蜀中挚友赵蕤，以抒发思乡怀友的感情。

诗中一、二两句以浮云自喻，道明自己远游飘泊在吴会一带。因为此诗是寄给故乡友人的，所以先讲一下自己的行止是很必要的。飘，即漂泊，行无定处的意思，所以自称浮云。一开头便饱含一种思乡的感情。接下六句是写自己的处境：光阴飞逝，功业未就，远大的政治抱负很快成了泡影，而自己又重病缠身。最后以“古琴藏虚匣，长剑挂空壁”两句小结这一层，感慨自己的壮志难酬。这六句写得很沉痛，诉述之中真实地吐露了自己内心的苦闷。但是，应该指出：这一时期，李白年仅二十七岁，涉世未深，幼稚地认为自己“怀经济之才，抗巢由之节，文可以变风俗，学可以究天人”，以为功名事业，唾手可得。然而事实却非他所想象的那样。于是，稍碰上几个钉子很快就堕入了失望。不过，文字虽然沉痛，感慨的程度比起晚年那种凄凉落魄的诗句来，还是浮浅得多。
“楚冠怀锺仪”句以下直至全诗结尾，所抒发的都是思乡怀友之情。这一大段直抒其情的诗句，细加分析层次还是很清楚的。“楚怀”两句，引用钟仪、庄舄的典故，概写自己对于故乡的怀念，接下两句是感叹故乡辽远。再下两句是写对故乡的朝思暮想，而后用“旅情初结缉，秋气方寂历”做一小结。以上八句主要是围绕着对故乡的思念展开抒情。虽然直抒胸臆，但诗人能够借助古人的事迹、故乡的古迹，把这种感情写得很具体而且缠绵悱侧，如环不已，倒是非常难得的。“旅情”两句小结上述八句，结得自然，而又落脚于“秋”字，自然地点明了寄诗抒怀的时间，同时拈出“秋”字又自然而然地引出下面两句对于秋天景色的描写。“风入松下清，露出草间白”，这两句并非是诗人眼前景物的实写，而是意念中的想象，经过这样一写，加强了诗的艺术气氛。“清”“白”二字写出了秋风、秋露肃杀、萧疏的特点，选词炼句极为准确。也正是受了这种凄清气氛的影响，才有寂寞、孤独之感，于是对故乡友人的怀念也就更加殷切。全诗至“故人不可见，幽梦谁与适”已经点到题目上来，最后交代一笔，进一步点出“寄书”的目的在于“慰离析”，意尽而抒情也就从此结住。
这首诗从功业未就写起，而后抒写思乡、怀友之情，一路写来如诉如泣，恰如一封寄给友人的书信。结构上顺着感情的自然发展，跳跃性并不大。直抒胸臆而语言没有夸张渲染，想象也未见飞动超人的特色，但感情真挚自然，层次井然，炼词造句处处贴切。如就诗的风格来说，由于是诗人早朝创作，还没有形成后来那种豪放浪漫的特点，但从驾御文字的能力上看，却完全是一副大家手笔，功力是极坚实的。

李白（701年－762年），字太白，号青莲居士，唐朝浪漫主义诗人，被后人誉为“诗仙”。祖籍陇西成纪(待考)，出生于西域碎叶城，4岁再随父迁至剑南道绵州。李白存世诗文千余篇，有《李太白集》传世。762年病逝，享年61岁。其墓在今安徽当涂，四川江油、湖北安陆有纪念馆。
