作过几任郎官便已白头，自从来到州县已过五秋。
别说圣明君主长不任用，怎奈天下百姓令人生忧！
看那人间岁月好似流水，客舍之中又见秋风飕飕。
不知满腹心事向谁倾诉，空听江上蝉声吵嚷不休！
注释
客舍：旅馆。两省：唐时中央设尚书、中书、门下三省，此指中书、门下两省。旧游：旧友。幕：指剑南节度使幕府，治所在今成都。
出守，出任地方官，指作嘉州刺史。五经秋：经历了五个秋天，过了五年。三度为郎：岑参曾五次为郎：祠部员外郎（礼部）、考功员外郎（吏部）、虞部员外郎（工部）、屯田员外郎（工部）、库部员外郎（兵部）。三为虚数。白头：诗人此时五十四岁。
那（nuó）：奈何的合音，对······怎么办。未休：未得安宁。莫言：不必说。其那：怎奈。未休：未能休养生息，安居乐业。
空：徒然。

客舍悲秋有怀两省旧游呈幕中诸公创作背景
大历四年（769），岑参在嘉州刺史任满后滞留蜀中。由于戎泸间受乱军阻路，只好折回成都，此诗即作于成都客舍，为词人的写怀之作，离诗人去世仅四五个月的时间。

诗的开头两句自叙平生。“三度为郎”，“一从出守”概括了诗人的仕途经历。诗人本有济世之志，“为郎”和“出守”在诗人看来是难以施展抱负的。“便白头”说时光之快，有“功业悲后时，光阴叹虚掷”的意思。其中包含“生平未得意”的感叹。以沉重的叹息引起全诗。
诗的次二句承首联倾诉平生感慨。“长不用”不仅指嘉州刺史秩满后未受叙用，更主要的还是指平生不是“为郎”，便是“出守”，从未被重用过。但诗人的关注点在于“苍生”，“苍生未休”，诗人不安。“四海犹未安，一身无所适”，对“圣主”，诗人不能无怨，对“苍生”，诗人不能不忧，格调更为沉重。
第五、六句点出题目“客舍悲秋”，则是“悲秋”。对春光而兴叹，见秋风而生悲，看似悲叹时光流逝，实则悲叹壮志未酬、平生失意，从而转出正意。
诗的最后两句为诗人晚年生活的真实写照。时至暮年，处境维艰。“穷苍草转深，闭门日将夕”（同上），满腹心事，无处倾诉，虽有江上蝉声满耳，却不仅不能排遣思绪，倒反更引出无穷愁烦，恰烘托出诗人晚年的孤独寂寞，诗歌遂在这种更为凄切沉重的情调中结束。
这首诗向故友倾诉情怀，概括了诗人的一生，尤其突出了晚景的凄凉，实为追悼平生之作，写得感情深沉凄切，格调慷慨悲凉，真实地传达出一个关心国事却有志难展的封建文人暮年的沉重悲哀。

岑参（约715-770年），唐代边塞诗人，南阳人，太宗时功臣岑文本重孙，后徙居江陵。[1-2] 岑参早岁孤贫，从兄就读，遍览史籍。唐玄宗天宝三载（744年）进士，初为率府兵曹参军。后两次从军边塞，先在安西节度使高仙芝幕府掌书记；天宝末年，封常清为安西北庭节度使时，为其幕府判官。代宗时，曾官嘉州刺史（今四川乐山），世称“岑嘉州”。大历五年（770年）卒于成都。
