译文
在梅雪还在相互映衬时，柳树已长出了绿芽，透露出春的消息。刚送别南方的大雁，就听到了黄莺鸟的清脆鸣声，绿波荡漾，使人心旷神怡。
回想起去年我们一起去踏春寻花，将客人挽留以至酒醉的情景，历历如在眼前，使人回味。在触景生情中，独自用金杯斟上美酒，在阳光灿烂的日子里，一任炉烟袅袅。
注释
更漏子：词牌名。《尊前集》入“大石调”，又入“商调”。《金奁集》入“林钟商调”。四十六字，前片两仄韵，两平韵，后片三仄韵，两平韵。
雪藏梅：残雪覆盖着梅花。
烟：春日阳气发生，林泽上升的雾气叫烟。著：附着。
依约：依稀，仿佛。上春：孟春，农历正月。
初送雁：刚刚目送北飞的大雁。雁为候鸟，秋往南飞，春往北飞，俗有“七九河开，八九雁来”的谚语。
欲：将要。
探花开：唐代制度，新科进士于曲江杏园举行宴会，称探花宴。以少俊进士二人为探花使（探花郎），遍游名园，采取名花，为宴会增彩助兴。这里仅指初春举行的宴会。

更漏子·雪藏梅鉴赏
上片写初春已至。以细腻的笔触，描画初春景色，梅花傲雪怒放，柳条含烟抽叶，仿佛在告诉人们，严冬即将过去，初春已经来临。“藏”、“著”二字，颇传神，正如唐朝马怀素《正月七日宴大明段》诗所吟“就暖风光偏着柳，辞寒雪影半藏梅”。再看那刚刚送走的鸿雁人，快要听闻的黄莺啼声，绿池水面泛起层层微波浪。“初”、“欲”二字，写春天已经一天天临近。可见，所写的春景是动态的，主人公的心境是欢愉的。雪中藏梅、杨柳烟绕之时，大约春天就快要来到了。这时，送走了鸿雁，期待着黄莺的啼鸣，门外绿池波浪荡漾。这一切的描述，表达出词人对春天的急切期盼，对美好生活的急切渴望。词人先从细小的节物变化写起，展示了腊尽春回、阳气初生之际的优美自然景色。暖气初动，其明显标志就是雪里梅花开放、柳枝绽芽含烟；这一新景致，昭示初春时节到来了。作者放眼望去，发现春意继续萌动，逐渐遍及诸物。一“初”一“欲”，见禽鸟之感春才刚刚开始。继言春水已“生”，则春色已渐渐分明了。可见作者体物描景，文心极细。
下片写开筵欢饮。在花期设宴，留宾客醉饮，去年亦是如此情味。有金盏酒，焚玉炉香，词人愿长长的白日都在这样欢快的环境中度过。词人过着富贵的生活，秋日、春日，去年、今年，都是赏美景，饮美酒，过得舒适畅快。回忆去年的一次盛宴，与客同醉，那份情味，依然记得。时隔一年，事不重复，人也难聚，主人公唯有举起金杯的美酒，和着玉炉的香烟，任凭他红日长。词作排解心中的惆怅的方式，反映了晏殊的旷达情怀。作者感春忆旧之情。这是由今而忆昔：初春景色是如此美好，作者设宴赏景，留客共醉，不觉回忆起“去年”此时的情事，心中怅然。风景不殊，而人事已非，怎不令人慨叹。如何开释这满怀的惆怅呢，作者以富于理性的思索回答道：我惟有在玉炉香中举起金盏酒，且寻眼下的快乐，以驱除胸中的无聊之感，任他窗外红日自长吧。此词表现的，是典型的大晏风度和大晏情调。他就是如此善于以理节情，排忧适性，自我解脱，以跻身于旷达的人生境界的。
这首词描写的是冬去春来之时风物的变化，以及由此触发的追怀忆旧之情。词的高妙之处在于作者对于节物变化的细心体察和妙笔表达。立春过后，日长一线，春意在不知不觉之间，遍布于各个角落。梅和柳之间的变化是最直接的标志。古代慧心的文人们早已体察及此。唐代诗人杜审言《和晋陵丞早春游望》：“独有宦游人，偏惊物候新。云霞出海曙，梅柳渡江春。”春光最先光顾的就是风雪中开放的梅花和最早探知春意的杨柳。李清照《永遇乐·落日熔金》说“染柳烟浓，吹梅笛怨，春意知几许”。残雪还压着梅朵，而因阳气上升，湿气氤氲着柳枝，已渐渐显出浓浓春意来了。刚刚送走大雁，将要听到莺啭，而池塘之上，风乍起，吹皱一池春水，这正是“池塘生春草，园柳变鸣禽”的时节。在这样一个春意盎然的时候，举金盏、采名花、歌新曲。年年岁岁花相似，去年此时，亦是如此度过，是年复一年，还是物是人非呢。轻轻地感喟，淡淡地放开，玉炉名香，且来消受这迟迟春日吧。

晏殊【yàn shū】（991-1055）字同叔，著名词人、诗人、散文家，北宋抚州府临川城人（今江西进贤县文港镇沙河人，位于香楠峰下，其父为抚州府手力节级），是当时的抚州籍第一个宰相。晏殊与其第七子晏几道（1037-1110），在当时北宋词坛上，被称为“大晏”和“小晏”。
