译文
在西园听一曲艳阳之歌，京城扰扰车尘让人深负隐逸之志。
虽然想要放宽心怀但难以遂愿，而经世的愿望也不知究竟能否实现。
听到夜雨强劲而势猛，预示且判定着花残落尽，春夜寒冷夜晚更长，贪恋重衾觉得梦多。
想别后钓渚春色应该比以前更好，春风在水面吹起微波。
注释
西园：泛指，未必与曹植兄弟及邺中诸子同游之“西园”。艳阳歌：犹《阳春》曲。一说泛指春之歌。
薜萝：薜荔和女萝，喻指隐士之服。负薜萝，即怀有隐逸之志。
放怀：开怀，放宽心怀。
经世：治理国事。
判：判断，断定。俗作“拚”。
衾（qīn）：被子。一作“裘”。
钓渚：当指作者鄠杜郊居旁的垂钓处。

此诗为作者于春日艳阳之候，有感于自己仕隐两失而抒写苦闷之作。其具体创作年份难以考证。

春日偶作鉴赏
诗人于三春时节，闻西园艳阳之歌，深感春光烂漫，当尽情享受，奈己则困居长安，目睹车尘扰扰，深有负于夙昔隐遁山林之志。虽自欲放宽心怀，不计名利得失，然犹未能；而经世之志愿固不知究竟能否实现。三四句一纵一收，一宕一抑，极有笔意、情致。五六句写春夜闻猛雨，判定花已凋尽，春寒夜长，恋重衾而梦多，系写困居长安之苦闷无聊意绪。尾联“钓渚”应首联“薜萝”，暗用东汉初期隐士严子陵隐居垂钓于浙江省富春山七里濑事。钓渚春好，风起微波，固不如归隐鄠郊旧墅（温庭筠故宅）也。语淡荡而有致。此诗纯用白描，转折如意，风格类似义山之《即日》（一岁林花即日休），见温诗不仅有秾艳一格。
有人认为“西园一曲艳阳歌”于此诗中未必是歌颂阳春时节之美好。“艳阳”一词诚有歌颂明媚春天之意，然而细味此处之“艳阳”，似给人一种燥热烦愁之感。于高照的艳阳之下，一般人大概都是一副眯眼皱眉的表情，其实也是一种苦态。而与下句“扰扰车尘”连看，则正符合温庭筠此时烦躁又无奈的情绪。再观末句，俨然一幅云淡水清、宁静致远的画卷，大概这才是温庭筠所向往的隐逸之境，而西园艳阳春景恐未必是。

温庭筠（约812—866）唐代诗人、词人。本名岐，字飞卿，太原祁（今山西祁县东南）人。富有天才，文思敏捷，每入试，押官韵，八叉手而成八韵，所以也有“温八叉”之称。然恃才不羁，又好讥刺权贵，多犯忌讳，取憎于时，故屡举进士不第，长被贬抑，终生不得志。官终国子助教。精通音律。工诗，与李商隐齐名，时称“温李”。其诗辞藻华丽，秾艳精致，内容多写闺情。其词艺术成就在晚唐诸词人之上，为“花间派”首要词人，对词的发展影响较大。在词史上，与韦庄齐名，并称“温韦”。存词七十余首。后人辑有《温飞卿集》及《金奁集》。
