译文
江南的秋日的景色就像夕阳一样快要完了，数数那些景色，却仍旧很多。我每天都在沧浪亭外夕阳下的树林中寻找写诗的灵感。
可叹的是忧愁总是和闲情一同到来，正想不再忧愁，就看到天已经快亮了。不管是闲暇中的心事，还是忙碌中的滋味，全部都化入西楼外的雨中了。
注释
青玉案：以贺铸《青玉案·凌波不过横塘路》为正体，双调六十七字，前后段各六句、五仄韵。另有双调六十七字，前后段各六句、四仄韵；双调六十八字，前后段各六句、四仄韵等十二种变体。
垂垂：渐渐地。
幽事：幽景，胜景。
浑：仍旧，仍然。
沧浪亭：在苏州城南。词人曾在苏州长期居住。
俱赴：指忧愁和悠闲往往一同涌上心头。
截愁住：截住愁的倒装句。
幢幢（chuáng）：形容灯光摇摆不定。

青玉案·江南秋色垂垂暮创作背景
光绪三十年（1904年），王国维在江苏师范学堂任教，讲授伦理学课程，并研究叔本华、康德哲学。这首《青玉案》就是他试图在文学中“求直接之慰藉”的自我感觉之作。

青玉案·江南秋色垂垂暮鉴赏
这首词贵在委婉曲折。“江南秋色垂垂暮，算幽事，浑无数”在意思上就很曲折：“江南秋色”是美丽的，而“垂垂暮”是令人遗憾的；不过尽管如此，在这暮秋的时候还有那么多可以游赏的景物，终归还是令人高兴的。“日日澄澈亭畔路”的“日日”，是强调每天都去，这是因为对那个地方景色的喜爱。但如果结合前边的“垂垂暮”，则这个“日日”又令人联想到冯延巳《蝶恋花》的“日日花前常病酒”，这里边又令有一种对无常之美景难以割舍的执著之情。“西风林下，夕阳水际，独自寻诗去“点染出一幅清秀疏朗的“水畔独吟图”，独吟之人显得很超脱很自得。但是，由“西风”和“夕阳”点染而成的美景，却透着几分清清，几分伤感；而那“独自”二字，又暗含着几分寂寞、几分孤独。
“可怜愁与闲俱赴”——“愁”和“闲”实在是一对形影不离的老朋友，寄情山水独自寻诗是“闲”，但只要是“闲”的时候就必然跟来“愁”。既然这个办法不行，那就是用“尘劳”来“截”：把自己完全投入尘世事务的繁忙劳碌之中，以此来求得对内心之愁苦的暂时解脱。这时候已经“灯影幢幢天欲曙”——夜过去了，白天又来了。接续这个不眠之夜的，仍将是整天的繁忙劳碌，或者是整天的闲愁缠绕。
