燕帘莺户，云窗雾阁，酒醒啼鸦。折得一枝杨柳，归来插向谁家。
朝中措·清明时节鉴赏
上片“清明时节”二句，描写的清明时的雨，不是毛毛细雨，而成了哗哗大雨。恰在此时作者冒雨寻春，却被大雨所困，见到江边水急，浪潮翻涌。
“翻被梨花冷看”，二句，作者此时心口难言，无心看花，但作者却使梨花有感，冷眼旁观作者雨中的狼狈，责怪作者不思故土暖被，却对他乡山水花木如此病情苦恋。作者的此番“遭遇”有口难言，而其中源由，无限辛酸无限悲恨，尽在不言之中。
下片“燕帘莺户，云窗雾阔，酒醒啼鸦。”“燕帘莺户，云窗雾阔”是指歌妓舞女之所。雨中寻景不成，因而只能到莺啼燕舞的珠帘玉户消磨时光，一醉解千愁。然而醉乡虽好，难以久留，醉醒客散，只见归鸦啼鸣，人去楼空。
“折得一枝杨柳”二句，杨柳，古时清明节中家家户户门上插柳以祛邪。归去的途中，作者也随手折了一枝杨柳，但走至住所才恍然醒悟——浪流之人羁驻之旅，哪会有自己的家门呢？作者不禁感叹一枝杨柳，“归来插向谁家”。一种天涯游子欲归无处，欲住无家的悲哀，猛然袭向心头。一枝无处可插的杨柳，满腹悲怨溢于词中，幽默中见无奈。词人用笔举重若轻，不见着力，是那么自然，用笔之巧，用意之妙，叫人拍案叫绝。

张炎（1248年－1320年），字叔夏，号玉田，晚年号乐笑翁。祖籍陕西凤翔。六世祖张俊，宋朝著名将领。父张枢，“西湖吟社”重要成员，妙解音律，与著名词人周密相交。张炎是勋贵之后，前半生居于临安，生活优裕，而宋亡以后则家道中落，晚年漂泊落拓。著有《山中白云词》，存词302首。张炎另一重要的贡献在于创作了中国最早的词论专著《词源》，总结整理了宋末雅词一派的主要艺术思想与成就，其中以“清空”，“骚雅”为主要主张。
