译文
白日在花园的弯曲延伸的红色栏干内几度来回，城市中的彩绘画鼓已经发出了三叠鼓声。风向已转，天上云翳散去，月色光明。回归时瑞香的香味缭绕竟涌进了梦境之中。
劝酒的群妓抢着用大杯劝我们饮酒，她们发髻上一半斜插着红花。夜已深了，灯油残烬零落，而宴会还在热烈地进行，各种酒后狂言痴语一时飞动在宴席餐桌之上。
注释
西江月：词牌名，原唐教坊曲。
坐客句：词序，意谓出席宴会的客人已做过和词，我再用前词之韵作此词。
重城：古时城市在外城中又建内城，故称，这里泛指城市。画鼓：有彩绘的鼓。三通：指三叠鼓声。
光风：光明。
香云：谓瑞香花的香气缭绕如云。
翠袖：翠绿衣袖。这里指侍酒群妓。浮大白：本谓罚酒，后世则称满饮大杯酒为浮大白。
皂罗：宋时妇女发髻名。斜红：斜戴着的红花。
酒花：谓饮酒后面色酣红如花。秾（nóng）：花木繁盛的样子。

西江月·坐客见和复次韵创作背景
此词作于元祐六年（1091年）三月，是时，苏轼陪福建路转运判官曹辅权在龙山真觉院赏瑞香花，连作三阕《西江月》，这首词便是其中一首。

上片开头首先写院中赏花的流连忘返：“小院朱阑几曲，重城画鼓三通。”说明时间已经很晚了。但游兴正浓，特别在雨过天晴之后，月亮趁着微风爬上树梢，草木都散发着熠熠光泽。“归去香云入梦”，等到回归卧室一觉睡去，那缭绕如云的瑞香花香气，竟涌进了梦境之中。词篇倍写出了瑞香花的秾艳魅人，移步换影，时空相映。
下片则细致地描写饮宴场景，衬托出瑞香花赋予人们的无比乐趣。“翠袖争浮大白，阜罗半插斜红。”在酒宴上，甩着翠色衣袖，在阜罗特髻上斜插着红花的漂亮侍酒女郎，往来奔忙着给大家斟满大杯劝酒。写得生动逼真，可谓察物密致。“灯花零落酒花秾”，看来宴席已经很久了，灯花为之零落，而脸上因酣酒所浮现出的红光却异常耀眼。末句“妙语一时飞动”，则尤其传神妙绝。由于过分酣酒，人们已失去常态，各种酒后狂言痴语一时飞动在宴席餐桌之上。“飞动”二字，把情不自禁之态，状溢目前，写形传情，令人揣摩不已：醉人或者跳跃欢唱，或者猜拳罚酒，或者挑逗戏谑，或者跑动打闹……总之，赏瑞香花后的欢乐，尽情表露在酒宴之中了。

苏轼（1037－1101），北宋文学家、书画家、美食家。字子瞻，号东坡居士。汉族，四川人，葬于颍昌（今河南省平顶山市郏县）。一生仕途坎坷，学识渊博，天资极高，诗文书画皆精。其文汪洋恣肆，明白畅达，与欧阳修并称欧苏，为“唐宋八大家”之一；诗清新豪健，善用夸张、比喻，艺术表现独具风格，与黄庭坚并称苏黄；词开豪放一派，对后世有巨大影响，与辛弃疾并称苏辛；书法擅长行书、楷书，能自创新意，用笔丰腴跌宕，有天真烂漫之趣，与黄庭坚、米芾、蔡襄并称宋四家；画学文同，论画主张神似，提倡“士人画”。著有《苏东坡全集》和《东坡乐府》等。
