译文
你在褒斜古道上冒着冰冷的大雪行走，地上泥泞湿滑走起来如同登天一样艰难。过了一年才到了吴头楚尾的江西豫章，一路上乘坐江船历经风雨。只希望你身体健康，对不平之事心里能过得去，不抱怨自己没有足够的钱。从今往后，只希望自己的儿女能过上温饱的山村林园生活就可以了。
注释
人月圆：曲牌名。此词调始于王诜，因其词中“人月圆时”句，取以为名。
细君：特指妾。
褒斜路：古道路名。因取道褒水、斜水二河谷得名。
吴头楚尾：指古豫章一带。因位于吴地长江的上游，楚地长江的下游而得名。

人月圆·为细君寿创作背景
《为细君寿》可能是魏初任江西提刑按察使时所写。他当时已是五十几岁的晚年了，乃作者为自己的妻子祝寿而写的一首散曲。

人月圆·为细君寿鉴赏
这首“人月圆”是魏初为妻子祝寿的小令，题目“细君”即指妻子。此曲话虽家常，情则半生。第一句“冷云冻雪褒斜路”，经典在“路”字；接着“泥滑似登天”一句既状写路面，也说出走路之态。“路”，一方面借喻魏初作为丈夫走马上任的官途，另一方面隐喻为妻子相伴半生的人生路。合而赏之，魏初感激妻子一直风雨相随，与他走过许许多多云雪漫天、泥滑难行的岁月。
曲句“年来又到”写刚到任。吴头楚尾连成一线的，是长江。江南水乡风景中最有象征意义的，自是“风雨江船”。然而不要轻易放过“风雨”二字，因它与披盖云雪的“褒斜路”互相呼应，暗中写出深厚的感激之情。
行歌到此，夫妻情义跃然纸上。之后展呈祝福语。“但教康健，心头过得，莫论无钱”，相信只有写给童子才用如斯闲话家常的口吻作贺雨词。
“从今只望，儿婚女嫁，鸡犬山田”写出老年夫妇的心愿：儿女成家立室，晚年门庭恬和平静，在田园享受生活。魏初较前有《水调歌头·室人降日以此奉寄》词，为纪念迎娶妻妾一周年而写的。下阕云：“山接水，水明霞，满林残照见归鸦。几时田园了，儿女团圆夜煮茶。”（《青崖集》卷三）虽然此词没有说明奉寄的是妻子还是姬妾，但字里行间表达父母对儿女幼时在膝，长大婚嫁的愿望，拿来和“人月圆”对读，可以互相比较。
此曲为作者祝妻寿之曲，情调明快，韵律自然。全曲洋溢着作者一切顺应自然、热爱生活、以平常心对待一切的心绪。既有浓郁的生活气息，又有着日常生活中的哲学情趣。

魏初，字太初，号青崖。元代宏州顺圣（今张家口阳原东城）人。生卒年均不详，约元世祖至元初（约公元一二六四年）前后在世，年六十一岁。好读书，尤长于春秋；为文简，而有法。少辟中书省掾吏，亲老告归，隐居教授。中统起，为国史院编修寻擢监察御史，疏陈时政，多见赏纳。官至南台御史中丞。初著有《青崖集》五卷，《四库总目》非独以文章贵，又足补史阙。《元史》有传。
