十年之前我们曾经分别，在漫漫征途上再次相遇。
驱马作别又将去向何处？看那夕阳下的万壑千峰。
注释
征路：远行的路途；征途；行程。南朝宋鲍照《还都道中》诗之一：“鸣鸡戒征路，暮息落日分。”路，一作“旆”。
“马首”句：马头的方向，即将駆马而去的方向。马首：马头。《仪礼·士丧礼》：“君至，主人出迎于外，门外见马首，不哭。”
岭上逢久别者又别创作背景
此诗具体的创作时间未详，“久别者”是谁也难以确切考证。从诗意看，这是诗人与十年未见的故人重逢后又要分别时有感而作的。
岭上逢久别者又别鉴赏
这首小诗，用朴素的语言写一次久别重逢后的离别。通篇淡淡着笔，不作雕饰，而平淡中蕴含深深的情味，朴素中自有天然的风韵。
前两句淡淡道出双方“十年”前的“一别”和此时的“相逢”。从诗题泛称对方为“久别者”看来，双方也许并非挚友。这种泛泛之交间的“别”与“逢”，按说“别”既留不下深刻印象，“逢”也掀不起感情波澜。然而，由于一别一逢之间，隔着十年的漫长岁月，自然会引发双方的人事沧桑之感和对彼此今昔情景的联想。所以这仿佛是平淡而客观的叙述就显得颇有情致了。
这首诗的重点，不是抒写久别重逢的感触，而是重逢后又一次匆匆别离的情味。他们在万山攒聚的岭上和夕阳斜照的黄昏偶然重逢，又匆匆作别，诗人撇开“相逢”时的一切细节，直接从“逢”跳到“别”，用平淡而富于含蕴的语言轻轻托出双方欲别未别、将发未发的瞬间情景──“马首向何处？夕阳千万峰。”征路偶然重逢，又即将驱马作别。马首所向，是莽莽的群山万壑，西斜的夕照正将一抹余光投向峭立无语的山峰。这是一幅在深山夕照中悄然作别的素描。不施色彩，不加刻画，没有对作别双方表情、语言、动作、心理作任何具体描绘，却自有一种令人神远的意境。千峰无语立斜阳，境界静寂而略带荒凉，使这场离别带上了黯然神伤的意味。马首所向，千峰耸立，万山攒聚，正暗示着前路漫漫。在夕阳余照、暮色朦胧中，更给人一种四顾苍茫之感。这一切，加上久别重逢旋即又别这样一个特殊的背景，就使得这情景无形中带有某种象征意味。它使人联想到，在人生征途上，离和合，别与逢，总是那样偶然，又那样匆匆，一切都难以预期。诗人固然未必要借这场离别来表现人生道路的哲理，但在面对“马首向何处？夕阳千万峰”的情景时，心中怅然若有所思则是完全可以体味到的。第三句不用通常的叙述语，而是充满咏叹情调的轻轻一问，第四句则宕开写景，以景结情，正透露出诗人内心深处的无穷感慨，加强了世路茫茫的情味。可以说，三、四两句正是诗人眼中所见与心中所感的交会，是一种“此中有真意，欲辨已忘言”的境界。
值得玩味的是，诗人还写过一首内容与此极为相似的七绝《余干赠别张十二侍御》：“芜城陌上春风别，干越亭边岁暮逢。驱车又怆南北路，返照寒江千万峰。”两相比较，七绝刻画渲染的成分显著增加了（如“芜城陌”、“春风别”、“岁暮逢”、“寒江”），浑成含蕴、自然真切的优点就很难体现。特别是后幅，五绝以咏叹发问，以不施刻画的景语黯然收束，浑然一体，含蕴无穷；七绝则将第三句用一般的叙述语来表达，且直接点出“怆”字，不免有嫌于率直发露。末句又施刻画，失去自然和谐的风调。两句之间若即若离，构不成浑融完整的意境。从这里，可以进一步体味到五绝平淡中蕴含深永情味、朴素中具有天然风韵的特点。

权德舆，唐代文学家。字载之。天水略阳（今甘肃秦安）人。后徙润州丹徒（今江苏镇江）。德宗时，召为太常博士，改左补阙，迁起居舍人、知制诰，进中书舍人。宪宗时，拜礼部尚书、同中书门下平章事，后徙刑部尚书，复以检校吏部尚书出为山南西道节度使。卒谥文，后人称为权文公。
